We're giving the public control of our transport network, here in the West Midlands.
So I want your help to suggest a name for our network that we can all be proud of.
A name that reflects our whole region, our shared history and the people who live here.
What would you call it?

Question here for @BhamCityCouncil leader @rogerbhx and deputy @BrumGreenJulien …. Does Julien renounce his national policy and survive within City Coalition? Or if not does Roger have the courage to wield the axe?
So that’s the end of the Birmingham Council Coalition then? Buck up @Brumgreens @BrumGreenJulien and denounce your anti-Semitic national party policy or its curtains….

Birmingham needs a fundamentally more devolved scheme of governance. Localise services, democratise local accountability. Residents would feel a massive difference! And would also feel they own their city. Currently too centralised, distant, remote.
'In no city do I feel British decline more sharply than here.'
We're used to statements like this about Birmingham. But are they fair? In today's Monday Briefing, we digest the latest in a long line of articles about Brum's so-called deficiencies. 🕵️♀️

We’re taking control of our buses because we need to make them better.
I want to hear from the people who use them every day.
What matters to you? Reliability, safety, affordability or accessibility?
Tell us what needs to change. 🚌
The Green are the largest group in the coalition running @BhamCityCouncil. They need to renounce their national policy on Zionism if they are to stand any chance of retaining any credibility in helping run Britain’s most multicultural and anti-racist City. Let’s hear you!
BREAKING: Amnesty International UK chair Sandy Ruthven has left the Green Party following the party's adoption of its 'Zionism is racism' motion at its conference over the weekend.

Fake news klaxon alert here! Labour actually left Birmingham financially solvent, a new boosted street cleaning programme and a solution to the bins dispute. Fantasy tales are what have trashed @Bobby_Alden reputation for over a decade. Dump the broken record mate.
It was great to join @andrewpierceexc on his @GBNEWS show with @Jacob_Rees_Mogg this morning to discuss the ongoing Birmingham bin strikes.
Want to know what a decade of this Labour Government will look like? Look at what they left in Brum endless strikes, bankruptcy and rubbish.

Enough is enough.
For years, people have been expected to put up with Avanti’s cancellations, delays, overcrowding, and a service that has failed them time and time again.
So my Labour government is bringing Avanti West Coast into public ownership at the earliest opportunity in March next year.
That means passengers, not shareholders, will come first.
More investment, fewer delays, and a renewed focus on getting the basics right.
We're putting essential services back in public hands and building a railway that actually works for the people who use it.

For years, Avanti West Coast passengers have been left paying the price for underperforming services.
Enough is enough. We will bring Avanti into public ownership.
Great work by our great local BID!
🎉 Today we’re celebrating four years of Sutton Coldfield BID’s Farmers & Craft Market!
We launched the Sunday market in 2022 with a simple goal: to boost footfall on what was traditionally the quietest day of the week.
Four years on, we consistently welcome 30+ stallholders every month, alongside live music, free children’s face painting and entertainment.
Managed entirely in-house by the BID, the market continues to give people another great reason to visit and enjoy Sutton Coldfield town centre.
Happy 4th birthday to our Farmers & Craft Market! 🎂
