Payments need an upgrade. But it’s not just blockchain that will make them more efficient and low-cost - AI agents will likely play a huge role.

Thank you very much to Chess Grandmasters @Rob_font and @romain_edouard for being some of the first real world professionals to participate in a competitive game on a decentralized Game-Fi infra platform. This duel was simulated with $TMON as the medium for wagering on the Monad testnet.
Congrats to Romain for winning the duel!
They said Web 3 gaming is dead. Showdown is proving them wrong. Arguably, there has been no Web 3 game-fi platform that has provided gaming infrastructure for world-ranked professionals at this magnitude (Rob ranked #441 and Romain ranked #350).
Showdown is going to be providing competitive wagering infrastructure for some of the top ranked players of some of the world's most played games. Counter Strike which is the world's most played PC game (consistently) is already integrated.
This duel is happened without any monetary wager as Monad is currently in its testnet, but imagine professionals and amateurs alike wagering and monetizing on their skills - in a way they could never before.
The gaming revolution is happening on Monad. This revolution will be televised.
