The biggest plays of the 1pm games
#1: C.Ward intercepted by J.Holland (Titans at Giants). Giants went from 32% to 100% to win.
Which one hurt most?
#NFL

ALT Ranked list of the plays that moved win probability most: C.Ward intercepted by J.Holland, Giants +68 points; J.Burrow sacked, fumbles, recovered by S.Joseph, Steelers +37 points; D.Watson pass to H.Fannin for 14 yards, TOUCHDOWN, Browns +36 points; S.Darnold intercepted by K.Medrano, Commanders +34 points; S.Shrader 53 yard field goal is GOOD, Colts +33 points.

ALERT ALERT ALERT 🚨 🚨 🚨 VLLM MAINTAINERS HAVE JUST SHOWN THAT TPUv7 CAN GET 700 tok/s/user, 56% BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 THROUGH MEGAKERNEL OPTIMIZATION ON KIMI K3.
As we said awhile ago, the TPU externalization of software is full steam ahead. This is ultra important to follow the progress of this.

@googlecloud and Inferact are announcing today a partnership to make TPU a first-class citizen in @vllm_project.
This partnership puts both teams on one engineering roadmap to bring TPU to the broader open model ecosystem, optimizing vLLM as the agentic production serving engine for TPU:
• Production serving features and optimized kernels
• A native PyTorch path via TorchTPU
• Moving towards day-0 support for frontier model releases
We're also launching a community program: shared TPU capacity for open-source contributors, plus dedicated review and design help from the core vLLM maintainers at Inferact.
Everything this collaboration produces is open source. Read the full announcement: inferact.ai/news/google-tpu-…

In 2021 I mined 1.55 ETH into a crypto wallet. When I needed to access it recently my seed phrase didn't work in any standard tool.
Turns out the wallet software (coinwallet) back in 2021 had a bug that gave people the WRONG SEED PHRASE! Anyone who created a wallet during that period can't access it by normal approaches.
After weeks of forensics, I found the bug and recovered my ETH. Posting the full story and recovery code below!

🚨 BREAKING: Manipulated data presented to the Montgomery County Board of Education to justify permanently closing Wootton High School. 🚨
The Superintendent actually asked to pause on this slide during the presentation so we could all "take it in." Well okay. Let us take it in. Look at this slide. It is so compelling. The lines are going in opposite directions! Clearly housing growth and student enrollment are negatively correlated. But what if the data is both wrong AND presented in a way to deceive you. I'll explain in this thread....

I freaking love Pandas for data wrangling, analysis, and live coding some trash data visualization that nobody asked for.
I've made hundreds of hours of content on it and I just saw that release candidate 1 for Pandas 3.0 is out.
Looks like it has some interesting changes, so here is a thread with examples of each major change and my ratings from 1-5 bamboo sticks for each. Get ready my fellow dataframe degens....

People criticizing Jupyter notebooks always mention the same issue: out of order cell execution.
The cure is simple: always execute all cells in a notebook in order, as you do for any code in any language. Anything else is silly, to be polite.
Then why not use plain python files instead? Notebooks are great when you want to have side by side:
- documentation
- code
- code output
Don't use notebooks if this is not important to you. For instance, don't use notebooks to run production code, as you don't need cell outputs display. Running notebooks drags unnecessary runtime.
I use notebooks in the early stages of a ML project (e.g. a Kaggle competition), for EDA and for early stages of my pipeline. As soon as a part of the pipeline is mature enough (say data loading), I move it to regular python files. The notebook is used to run the overall pipeline, with detailed execution of the part I am working on.
At some point everything is moved to python files, and my notebook contains one cell per training experiment experiment. If using Pytorch, each cell may start with:
! torchrun ...
I have the output of the run right below the cell. And yes, I also use logging to files or wandb for long term persistence.
Last but not least. I noticed that those who never use notebooks also tend to never look at data. Not a good thing if you build ML solutions.

The most expensive part of computing isn't math. It's moving data.
Traditional chips hit the "Von Neumann Bottleneck"—wasting energy constantly fetching and saving data.
TPUs bypass this with systolic arrays. Data flows through the chip like a wave.
Less movement. More speed.

Announcing the completely reimagined vLLM TPU! In collaboration with @Google, we've launched a new high-performance TPU backend unifying @PyTorch and JAX under a single lowering path for amazing performance and flexibility.
🚀 What's New?
- JAX + Pytorch: Run PyTorch models on TPUs with no code changes, now with native JAX support.
- Up to 5x Performance: Achieve nearly 2x-5x higher throughput compared to the first TPU prototype.
- Ragged Paged Attention v3: A more flexible and performant attention kernel for TPUs.
- SPMD Native: We've shifted to Single Program, Multi-Data (SPMD) as the default, a compiler-centric model native to TPUs for optimal execution.
Dive deep into the new architecture and see the performance benchmarks in our latest blog post!
