I remember asking assistant coach Mo Cheeks, what’s harder to do? Workout after practice or before?? I only asked cuz by time I would get to the gym, Russ was already done in the morning and I usually got mine in after practice. Mo like, “coming in before practice is probably harder”…since then, it’s been my routine….a lot of people looked at the emotions on the court and thought Russ was loud, nah to me, he was quiet and methodical. He lead by example and once the lights were bright, he let everything out and experienced pure freedom. It was inspiring as his teammate and everywhere I went, I seen it inspire people from all walks of life, crazy thing is, he didn’t say much, he just showed up. For 18 years. This basketball life is sacred to us as professionals, what we put into that court means everything. Some of us wish we could go back and do things with a little more intent and some can just wipe their hands and be satisfied with the time spent. Who u gonna be? We know what zero was on…keep inspiring in the next phase of life champ. I don’t care what happens, can’t erase what it was…The first YNs, finals run in our early 20s, all star games, seeing each other get injured and bounce back, the bus rides, plane rides, card games, jokes and arguments, the whole thing, memorable!! …to the whole Westbrook family, Nina, the kids, mama Westbrook, big Russ, Ray, Donnell, everybody from luezinger high and ucla and many more that I’m forgettin, much love and Congratulations on a iconic career.

Lonzo Ball says DWade is close to Kobe
“Kobe’s better but it ain’t clear. Out of 10 days, he’s not getting the better of him all 10 days. I got 6-4.”

“Anything else is an absolute failure... You only do this trade and give up future assets, give up a great young player like Jared Verse, to win the Super Bowl.”

Jeff Teague thinks the 2013 Heat would blow the 2025-2026 Thunder out:
“They not f*cking with them LeBron Heat teams. LeBron in Miami? What are we talking about. And D Wade was still flash. They don’t stand a chance with them. They good for what they do now. But them Warriors teams, Cavs teams, Heat teams, they blowing them out.”

Stan Van Gundy is picking Dwyane Wade to take the last shot over anybody in NBA history:
“People argue with me and talk about Kobe and Michael Jordan, obviously great players…. But I’ll take Dwyane Wade at the end of the game over anyone who’s ever played”

Stan Van Gundy on when he knew Dwyane Wade would be special his rookie year:
“I was coaching our summer league team and we had Dwyane playing the point, which wasn’t his normal position, he actually played it his rookie year. Spo and I were one game into summer league and we were like ‘wow this guy even better than we thought.’ What hit us was his poise and intelligence. Dwyane more than anybody I’ve ever been around had the ability to add something to his game like immediately. Spo would work with him on something in practice one day and Dwyane would do it for like an hour then you’d see it full speed in the game”

Pat Riley believes Dwyane Wade is in the same class as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan 🔥
“I say this with all honesty. I’ve watched them, my teams competed against Michael Jordan to the nail, and Kobe to the nail. If you look at Dwyane Wade and his style of play, he was right in that basket of how they played. You know, when he was young and athletic. Big hands, and long arms. What a competitive attitude he had, all 3 of those guys. All 3 of them had the DNA in them. Dwyane was special”
Put some respect on Dwyane Wades name.
Pat Riley reflects on his time with LeBron James in Miami and believes they could’ve had a 8-10 year title window 👀
“I thought when we got the Big Three, Dwyane, Chris Bosh, and especially LeBron, that we were building a dynasty. Four straight Finals, two championships… it was an incredible run… I truly believed it could’ve lasted 6–8, maybe even 10 years. But the NBA is a business. Players have the right to choose, and he went back to Cleveland and won a title. Selfishly? I wish I had him another 6-8 years would’ve been great. But we’ll never know, will we?”

Shaq explains why 2006 Miami Heat Championship is his favorite NBA title.
Shaq: This is going to shock the basketball world. It's my favorite because we were not supposed to win. It was one I was pressured to win before the other guy got his fourth. The fact that were were a bunch of misfits that used to argue and fight and do things untraditionally but never not got along. We had damn near fistfights on the bus. We had like 40 fights. My favorite was with Gary Payton down 0-2 in the Finals. "You ain't shit. You ain't Shaq no more. We need to get DWade the ball" #HeatNation

Wade should have 4 championships and 2 finals MVP.
I’ll never forgive Bron for that meltdown he had.
