Climbing the ladder faster doesn’t matter if it’s leaning against the wrong wall. As @arthurbrooks explained to @hubermanlab, our brains are hardwired to chase "worldly idols" as the ultimate destination. To build real satisfaction, shift your operating system to what actually matters.

Self-perception theory proves that your brain infers who you are simply by observing what you do. You don't wait to feel wealthy or confident before acting like it, you roleplay the alter ego first. Put on the mask, take the actions of your future self, and let your brain rewire your identity to match the character.
Act like your future self. "Don't act like the person you used to be. Act like the person you're gonna become. And I promise you that mental mind shift alone will carry you forward."

If you're looking for a shortcut, this is NOT a book about biohacking. The core lesson: you don't need expensive supplements, gadgets, or third-party downloads to optimize your life. Your nervous system came pre-configured at birth with hardwired biological machinery. @hubermanlab
Thank you to all who made this happen! Protocols: An Operating Manual for the Human Body is a #1 New York Times Best Seller. I hope all who read (or listen to) it, enjoy and benefit from the information!

Why do 99% of people stay stuck in their old habits after reading a great essay or watching a podcast? because your brain responds to visual cues, not a wall of text. so i translated 3 hours of how to rewire your brain for lasting happiness into 10 permanent mental models: robinhookvisuals.gumroad.com…

"Arguably the most famous sentence in storytelling history is one from Hemingway" To move people, ask yourself: "How did this event actually make me feel?" When you re-experience and recount raw emotion, you stop hard-selling and start subconsciously persuading.

"Because your current friends, your current environment, they're going to hold you back. They have a certain perspective of you that they are going to reinforce."

Audio is fleeting. To fully grasp @RickRubin's philosophy on ego, intuition, and ruthless editing, it helps to see it. A visual translation of his conversation with @davidsenra:

Why do 99% of people stay stuck in their old habits after reading a great essay? Because your brain responds to visual cues, not a wall of text. I translated @devoncnp 5,700-word blueprint on getting "unconsciously rich" into 4 permanent visual anchors:

getting rich is a skill issue. when you step into a high-leverage vehicle, success becomes a data-processing game. putting out 100 reps online gives you far more real-world market feedback than a 4-year degree ever could. every lap collects telemetry data. the more reps you put in, the cleaner your line gets until hitting the apex becomes second nature.

"When a man does not know what harbour he is making for, no wind is the right wind." — Seneca all the leverage and reps in the world mean nothing if you don't know where you are sailing. stop saying "I don't know what I want" and actually draw the day. define your ideal life, where you live, what you drive, and how you spend your time, with zero artificial limits. Once you illuminate the destination, every choice pulls you toward it.

Most people will read @DevonCanup’s 5,700-word article on the psychology of getting "unconsciously rich," nod their heads, and change nothing. Why? Because you can’t change your behavior if you forget the lesson hours later. Walls of text fade. Visual metaphors stick. I compressed two of Devon’s biggest levers into permanent visual anchors (Part 2 will follow later this week):

Willpower physically occupies space in the brain. The anterior midcingulate cortex expands only under the heavy friction of unwanted tasks. Enduring discomfort acts as the direct biological engine for this growth.

When it comes to power, outshining the master is perhaps the worst mistake of all. Law 1 of "The 48 Laws of Power" by @RobertGreene
Never outshine the master.

How Mark Zuckerberg survives the "Dictator's Dilemma" The more an empire expands, the more subordinates sanitize incoming data, leaving the leader completely insulated from reality. In his recent @colossusmag profile, Zuckerberg broke down his mechanical countermeasures against this vacuum: • He actively reaches deep down into the hierarchy to bypass executive filters. • He brings outsiders into the compound strictly to disrupt internal consensus. If you don’t deliberately seek out raw data, your reality will be curated for you.
