The tree branch being replaced by a target is another change that makes perfect sense if you think about it for two seconds
The sacred grove has one tree in it, itβs existence implies it could be intractable, the remake has a billion trees, one more could easily go unnoticed
there are other potential solutions to this, make the tree look worn or out of place in a unique way that allows it to stand out, or somthing. but the room had to be changed to make it work in the new visual style, to leave it as is would be sloppy design work.

Oh! Well I appreciate it lmao. Iβm sure Totk will be great. For all the slack I give BotW, the fellas at Nintendo are still competent designers, and Iβm sure they understand itβs flaws just as much as I do.

its interesting looking at promotional material for Ocarina of time and realizing that it being 'the greatest video game of all time' was a narrative constructed and marketed to people even before it released. you don't see that kind of dynamism and confidence in marketing now
Thats Shadow of the Colossus, and its goated. high key botw should have less stuff in it

The "New Zelda Formula" dares to ask: "What if we made an open world game with nothing in it?"
βYou must go on an adventure to gather the 2 other spirtiual stones link, but specifically the red one first because to get the red one you need to make amends with saria and continue that naritive thread. also you must talk to Zelda first, so death mountain is closed lmaoβ
There is literally no reason for video game achievements to not have bullshit in them. Hollow knight should have had a sub 1 hour achievement too
This is another change that I think people fundamentally donβt understand and makes perfect sense to me. Oot was an n64 game, the shadows were sprites that were drawn on the ground
The remake has real time lighting, the spotlight is there to make the shadow visual make sense
The remake has its own divergent combat goals, notably it wants to be more proactive not just reactive, so adding this feature where it retaliates on a incorrect hit, which also opens up a new counterattack opportunity makes sense.
