DR Congo 🇨🇩: If you are curious about the identity of M23, why the US (through Erik Prince) is involved, how Tim Kennedy got shot in eastern DRC, and how Rwanda becomes entangled, watch this 👇🏽
Who is M23? The Rwanda-backed rebel movement now controls large parts of eastern Congo and was linked by Reuters sources to the September 17 ambush in South Kivu that wounded Tim Kennedy; Reuters reported he suffered three gunshot wounds to the leg.
Led militarily by Sultani Makenga and politically by Bertrand Bisimwa, M23 emerged in 2012 from former rebels integrated into Congo’s army after a failed 2009 peace settlement. Rooted largely in Congolese Tutsi grievances, it has evolved into an increasingly sophisticated insurgency challenging Kinshasa: controlling cities and mineral territory, collecting taxes, administering populations, and benefiting from extensive Rwandan military support.

Media doesn’t reflect beauty, it manufactures it.
Endless filters, airbrushed “perfection,” and paid narratives train people to hate their own faces.
The result? A generation chasing illusions while real faces/bodies get treated like defects. 😿
This type of girl is a good stepping stone at the start of your career, but when you’re one of the world’s elite footballers, you can’t be bringing a girl like that to a Ballon d’Or ceremony with 10/10 latinas. #ballondor
In the 2026 World Justice Project Rule of Law Index, Rwanda has secured the top position across Sub-Saharan Africa. eastleighvoice.co.ke/regiona…
Rwandans should develop a thick skin and refrain from responding to each minor negative post.
It’s awesome to observe Africans learning and emulating successful practices across other parts of the beautiful continent 🇿🇦🇷🇼💪🏾
Guess where the inspiration originated… It is encouraging that Africans can learn from one another and develop the beautiful continent.
Today, we inaugurate the Kechene–Ambassador–Gihon– Irreecha–Bambis Riverside Development, a 351-hectare, 10-kilometer corridor advancing our vision of a modern, green, and inclusive Addis Ababa.
With pedestrian walkways, cycling lanes, and integrated transport infrastructure, this development creates a more accessible and liveable urban environment. Its children’s playgrounds, plazas and amphitheaters, sports facilities, and eight fountains and water features offer new spaces for recreation, social interaction, and community life. Parking facilities and eight electric vehicle charging centres, capable of charging over 100 vehicles simultaneously, further strengthen its modern infrastructure.
Through river management, soil and water conservation, and riverside green spaces, we are bringing environmental restoration together with urban transformation. Equally important, we are expanding economic opportunities. A dedicated market centre enables residents who previously lived along the river corridor to produce, display, and sell handicrafts, while an agricultural produce mall connects agricultural producers with markets.
Our vision is to build a city that is not only beautiful but also productive and inclusive; a city that serves its people today and generations to come!
The FDLR poses an existential threat to Rwanda. Rwanda therefore has every right (actually a duty) to defend itself and eliminate that threat wherever it is located.
