Don’t know how @OhioTate got through 25+ days of this. It’s harder than it looks
ChalksGiving is dead on Day 4.
ChalksGiving continues onto Day 4, and we are going with MACtion 2 nights in a row. Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan looks to (hopefully) be a tight game (EMU +1.5 dogs). We are riding with EMU +17.5!
$80.35 to win $88.22
It’s LSU week, so time to post a throwback to a past game, this time in 2018. Number 1 Alabama walked into number 3 ranked LSU @ Tiger Stadium and blanked them 30-0. Defense was incredible, offense did what it needed to do, highlighted by Tua’s 44 yard TD run below!
Defense was noticeably a positive for Alabama last night. Love to see that continue in this first 5 game stretch before them Player’s Era Tournament.
Updated KenPom Ratings after the 96-74 victory by @AlabamaMBB over Sam Houston. The Crimson Tide is No. 10 overall (No. 5 in offensive rating, No. 28 in defensive rating).

Nate Oats said Alabama's 23 forced turnovers were the most in a game for the program since 2012.
One of the best athletes in the SEC: Jaxon Richardson.
We are now onto Day 3 of ChalksGiving! And we are looking forward to MACtion later tonight. Ohio is a -13.5 point favorite, so we are going to go Ohio +3.5 at -1020 odds.
$73.18 to win $80.35.
It’s LSU week, so time to post a throwback from a past game, this time in 2013. Who remembers when Alabama faked a punt against the Tigers? The score was 17-17. After this fake, the Tide outscored LSU 21-0.
Zion Green recently committed to Alabama basketball, and what a get he is. 5 ⭐️ on the 247sports composite rankings, he adds good size 6’9, and can shoot it from the outside/great at the rim. Here are some of his high school highlights:

Alabama basketball is back today in its first matchup of the season against Sam Houston State. Alabama went 3-0 in their preseason exhibition games. Here is my favorite clip from those games: Keitenn Bristow with a block, which leads to a HUGE Tarris Bouie dunk on the other end!
If this doesn’t get you pumped, I don’t know what will. Alabama basketball is back tonight!

There has never been a better time to be an @AlabamaMBB fan than right now, and tonight against Sam Houston in Coleman Coliseum begins another chapter in what has become the greatest sustained era of basketball excellence in school history.
Seven seasons under @nate_oats have accomplished something that generations of fans once considered almost unimaginable. The Crimson Tide no longer enters a season hoping to be relevant nationally. It enters expecting to compete with the best programs in college basketball, with aspirations that extend well beyond simply earning an invitation to the NCAA Tournament.
For those of us who endured decades of inexplicable postseason heartbreak, the transformation still seems hard to comprehend. A program where optimism in March always felt tempered by the inevitabilty that something, somehow, would always go wrong. Years of declining expectations made just reaching the tournament seem like an acceptable definition of success.
That mentality has been buried beneath four SEC championships, five Sweet Sixteens, two Elite Eights and the program’s first Final Four. What once seemed like an impossibility has become the standard against which every season is measured.
Perhaps the most remarkable accomplishment of the Oats era has been the complete reconditioning of the Alabama fanbase. The swagger, confidence and willingness to challenge college basketball’s traditional powers are no longer confined to the coaching staff or the players. They have become part of the program’s identity, embraced by fans who once approached every promising season with equal parts excitement and dread.
This year’s team enters ranked No. 20 in the AP poll, a reminder that preseason expectations and national respect are not always synonymous. After another Sweet Sixteen appearance ended with familiar questions about size, physicality and rebounding, Oats retooled the roster without abandoning the offensive philosophy that revolutionized Alabama basketball.
The challenge is no longer proving that the system can produce victories. It is proving that the program can make the adjustments necessary to win the six games in March and April.
For the new generation of Alabama fans who have grown accustomed to competing for SEC championships and playing deep into March, understand that none of this should ever be taken for granted.
There was a time when Coleman Coliseum stood as a reminder of unrealized potential rather than a destination for some of the most exciting basketball in the nation. The expectations now considered normal were forged from decades of frustration and the determination of those who refused to accept mediocrity.
And to the current and former members of @Crimson_Chaos, keep those hard hats and plaid jackets somewhere you can find them. Twenty years from now, should the program ever lose its way, it may once again fall upon you to remind the administration what Alabama basketball is capable of achieving. Never allow the standards established during this remarkable era to become distant memories.
Alabama basketball may never carry the historical designation of a blue blood, but it has earned the right to behave like one, recruit like one and dream like one.
The ultimate prize remains unclaimed and there are no guarantees that this season will deliver it. But that is precisely what makes tonight so special. Thirty-plus games of possibilities, the promise of another March and the belief that perhaps this will finally be the year.
Savor these moments. Remember where this program has been, appreciate where it stands today and never stop dreaming about where it can go.
We are not simply watching Alabama basketball history anymore. We are living it.

Alabama vs LSU in 1998 was a classic. LSU dominated a good portion of this game, but Andrew Zow and the Tide never gave up. After a Shaun Alexander TD, the Tide recovered an onside kick, which led to a Quincey Jackson game winner (caught 2 TDs in this game off a tips from the DB)
