Following resuscitated out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock represents a heterogeneous clinical entity.
The novel SCAI-V classification combines haemodynamic status with lactate to identify four distinct phenotypes associated with mortality and mode of death, potentially refining risk stratification and patient selection for invasive therapies.
