This might be brushed off but with the resurgence of the far right, regressive attitudes towards the LGBT+ community and homophobia on the rise, a PM publicly taking an HIV test is an important thing to do. This would have been unthinkable 30 years ago.
Credit where it’s due.
Taking a HIV test is quick, easy, and can be done at home.
Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer was joined by @Beverleyknight and the Terrence Higgins Trust @THTorguk to take a rapid HIV home test.

Starmer taking an HIV test has achieved something: we now know how utterly clueless people are about HIV.
1. Heterosexuals can get HIV
2. HIV stigma and fear prevent people from testing.
3. But testing means getting treatment if required
4. Effective treatment makes the virus untransmitable.
5. Treatment means people living with HIV can have a normal life expectancy.
It's 2025 and self-presenting smart arse liberals like Jonathan Pie are spreading HIV misinformation. Crackers.

THE GREAT BRITISH BISHOP OFF
1. Preach Week. All bishops to offer their signature homily, exegesis on a surprise Bible verse hidden under the red gingham, and a showstopper full-length sermon. One to be crowned Star Bishop, another to leave the tent

I want people to understand that there are books about everything. You didn’t like your literature classes in school, but loved trains? There are books about trains! There are books about dinosaurs and clocks and cars.
Everyone is a reader. They just need to find the right book.

Everyone, this is Dylan.
Dylan, this is everyone.
Dylan loves books, but he couldn't eat a whole one. Actually that's a lie, he definitely could.
His proudest achievement is that he's a Very Good Dog.
