by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living.” Oh wait :::checks notes::: that’s actually an FDR quote. (He wasn’t perfect but this is good.)

Ahead of the NLCS, I’m resharing an interview I did back in 2022 for @Metsmerized with one of my favorite musicians - @RonPopeMusic. Ron and I spoke about baseball, the sport’s connection to his music career, and his lifelong Mets fandom. LFGM! metsmerizedonline.com/king-o…

King of Queens: Ron Pope Talks Music, Mets and TV Dreams - Metsmerized

Ron Pope is still waiting for Kevin James to feature him on the big screen.  When the next King of Queens show drops, Pope wants to be first in line. The simple reason? It’s that orange and blue...

These lists of “best” albums are meant to provoke discussion…art is inherently subjective so THERE CAN BE NO “RIGHT” ANSWER. What one person likes or thinks is good has no impact on how the next person experiences it. Deep breaths, my bebes.

I know that I say this at least once each year, but @UnitedHealthGrp is a criminal organization and I can’t believe that I keep giving them my money. The US healthcare system is so very broken and consistently disappoints me at every turn. Shame shame shame

Turns out that no matter what time I do it, having five cups of coffee is not ok for me anymore. So now we know that.

I hate overreacting 4 games into the season but wow the Mets are just playing some god awful baseball. Truthfully its close to 200 games now, idk what happened in September 2022 after they beat the Dodgers but the team has not been the same since

Been interesting watching the “not afraid to catch a charge” portion of my grandmother’s personality become so popular on the internet. For folks she loved, she’d do anything. Taught me to do math & to cook. Gave me everything she had and then some. God, I loved that woman so.

Starting to be grilling weather in Nashville. What’s a food that you never want to see at another cookout? Most disgusting cookout foods…hit me with a list!

Who played the best solo show you’ve ever seen? Why did you like it so much? What was special about in comparison to other solo shows? (And if it was one of mine, tell me your second favorite. I’m interested in the ways that other artists approach this.)
