🧡 OUR TRANSFORMER OF THE WEEK! 🌟
Some members simply show up, others go the extra mile to make everyone feel special! ❤️
Rtn. Vianney Luggya is one of those exceptional Rotarians who leads through generosity, kindness and action!
From rolling out the VIP treatment during our vocational tour, to fully clearing his club dues, and even extending his generosity towards his Buddy Group Bugabo's hospitality arrangements, Vianney continues to demonstrate what it means to give wholeheartedly. 👏🏽
And the beautiful thing? He does it all without seeking the spotlight!
Vianney, we see you, we appreciate you, and today, we celebrate YOU! 🧡
Thank you for making Garuga a family worth belonging to. Keep shining, our Transformer! 🌟

Our World Polio Day didn’t stop at the Kasiki. On Saturday, 24 October 2026, the Rotary Club of Garuga joined our fellow Entebbe Road clubs to Kick Polio Out, a day of service, sport and fellowship for a polio-free world. ⚽🧵
The day began at 8am at Centenary Bank Kawuku with an immunisation drive, because every child reached is a child protected. At 10am we moved to SPN Turf for the Football Gala, where Rotarians and Rotaractors played their part on the pitch for the cause.
We ended the day with fellowship at SPN Turf. Thank you to the Entebbe Road clubs for hosting, to District 9214, and to our partners for making the day possible. We are this close. Let’s kick polio out for good. 💪

On the eve of World Polio Day, we traded boardroom talk for crayons and a microphone. Friday, 23 October 2026 was our World Polio Day Kasiki: a Crayons & Mic Night at Wilna Motel, Garuga, under the theme “Let the Child in You Shine.” 🖍️🎤🧵
In our End Polio Now T-shirts, we coloured, laughed and took the mic, bringing back the joy of childhood. Polio still threatens that joy for children in some parts of the world, so every crayon stroke was a reminder of why this fight matters.
A big thank you to Buddy Group Bugabo for organising a memorable night, and to every member who showed up in full colour. We are this close to ending polio. Let’s finish the job. 💪

On Friday, 23 October 2026, members of @Rotary_Garuga traded the boardroom for the runway. Our Garuga Vocational Tour took us behind the scenes at Entebbe International Airport to see the professions that keep Uganda’s gateway to the world running. ✈️🧵
Exploring careers. Connecting professions. Inspiring service. Vocational service is at the heart of Rotary, and this tour is part of our 5 Years of Creating Impact journey. Thank you to our hosts for opening their doors to us. 🙏

A few weeks ago, we went home. We took over the fellowship of our mother club, @RCEntebbe, for a Homecoming Fellowship: an inspiring guest speaker and, most importantly, a report back to the club that gave us life. 🧵👇
We shared what five years of service have looked like, from charter to today, and closed with an invitation: join us for “The 5th Floor of Impact,” our 5th Charter Celebration, 1 to 5 December 2026. You raised us; now come celebrate with us. 🎉

Protecting the environment is not a one-day activity; it is a habit we must build together. 🌱♻️
Last Friday at Kitala Secondary School, the Bukaaya Buddy Group worked with students on waste sorting and environmental awareness.
By teaching responsible waste management, we are helping shape a generation that understands that cleaner schools lead to cleaner communities.

Last Saturday at St. Paul Bulega Primary School, we broke ground for the construction of a perimeter wall to improve the safety and security of the school community. 🧱🌱
The project is led by our Rotaract Club of Garuga, and as RC Garuga, we are proud to stand with them to make it a success.

Our service went beyond construction. 🌳
Together with the pupils, we planted trees around the school, investing not only in a safer school today, but also in a greener and healthier environment for tomorrow.
Small actions. Lasting impact.

After the cleaning exercise, the Rotaract Club of Garuga also engaged the pupils in a hygiene session, teaching them how to keep themselves and their environment clean for better health. 🧼
Security. Environment. Hygiene. One school, several opportunities to create lasting impact.

Last Friday, we gathered for our 3rd Home Hospitality, hosted by Buddy Group Bukaaya at the home of Rtn Yoweri. 🏡💙
Beyond the food and laughter, it was another beautiful reminder that Rotary is built on friendship, fellowship, and family.
#WeAreGaruga #ClubOfReference #BetterIsBetterThanGood #FiveYearsOfCreatingImpact
We shared stories, reflected on the friendships we continue to build, and celebrated the growing family that is RC Garuga.
Home Hospitality gives us something special time to know one another beyond meetings, projects and titles. 🤝❤️
#WeAreGaruga #ClubOfReference #BetterIsBetterThanGood #FiveYearsOfCreatingImpact
A big thank you to Buddy Group Bukaaya and especially Rtn. Yoweri for opening his home to the Garuga family.
Three Home Hospitalities down, and the bonds keep getting stronger.
Because at Garuga, we don't just serve together; we belong together. 💙
