If you can have a podcast with millions of listens in which you’ve posted thousands and thousands of hours of you chatting
And someone has to go back to 2014 to find something bad you said
You’re probably a decent person, decent enough to turn some bloody lights on

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.
Mate I could not imagine having to type out a lengthy fake quote for impressions just to keep the lights on 😂 these people need real jobs 😂
🚨Ronan Coughlan on his altercation with Max Dowman before his red card during Fleetwood’s victory against Arsenal:
🗣️ Ronan Coughlan: “I get sick when I see young players with so much pride and arrogance, but so little respect for the game.
“We are Fleetwood, so what? We play in League Two, so what? It’s football, and we are here to compete too. Our league position doesn’t make us any less of a football club.
“I saw him kick out at Neal, and it wasn’t a good one. I went over to check if Neal was okay, only for Max to lash out and say,
‘This is exactly why you are in League Two and we are Premier League champions.’
“I got angry and told him to shut up. Before I knew it, everyone had gathered around us, and the whole thing turned into a massive confrontation.
“I accept responsibility for my reaction, and maybe I should have handled it better. But don’t ever think playing for Arsenal gives you the right to look down on us.
“These lads work hard, sacrifice a lot and deserve respect just like everybody else. We might not have the money, facilities or superstar names, but we have pride.
“And the funniest thing is that they came here as Premier League champions, expecting to beat a League Two side, yet we are the ones celebrating tonight.
“Max needs to understand something: your badge might make you famous, but it doesn’t make you better than everybody else. Football has a way of humbling you.”
I’m also not mad about a competition that everyone told Arsenal fans isn’t a worthy trophy when we got to the final last season , sorry but I’m not mad about the loss, I’m mad about how badly we played 😂
Fucking hell I’m glad I didn’t watch after Max got sent off 😂 borderline bench ride for the rest of the season performance from Havertz but fair fucking play to Fleetwood. Absolute demons, keeper was amazing as well.
I weirdly sense an Anfield win after this though 😂
I mean the guy is objectively lying.
United fans were incredibly sensitive around Rashford slander over the feeding the kids thing and rightfully so.
Point is that the award is an established component of the ceremony to be celebrated and he won it. End of.

I will never understand the vitriol he receives- geniunely the most unproblematic and consummate professional.
Bukayo you’re a legendary for your gifts & a legend for who you are.
🚨🚨🎙️| Bukayo Saka delivers an emotional speech after winning the 2026 Sócrates Award! ❤️🏆
Saka shared the story of 14-year-old Biringiro from Rwanda, whose eyesight was restored thanks to the charity Big Shoe.
Reading Biringiro's message:
“When I was 12, I started losing my sight. My village has no electricity and as my eyesight got worse, even moving around my home became difficult.”
“Then thanks to Big Shoe, I received the eye care that I needed. Today, I can read the blackboard even from the back of the classroom.”
“I can enjoy being a child again. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about my future. I want to become an English teacher one day.”
Saka on helping children:
“We know how it feels to be a child and having a ball at your feet and how much joy you have.”
“Every time I have the opportunity to help another kid have that feeling again, that's important to me.”
“It's an honour to be here, and it's an honour to receive this award. On behalf of all the children we've been able to help, thank you.” ❤️
Harry Kane winning was the only choice. Amazing player, amazing career. An amazing season. Fully deserved, proud to have him represent my Country ❤️🏴
What a fucking advert, my internet childhood…
This is literally the problem with these lot 😂
Live thousands of miles away so will never understand the level of humiliation actual Chelsea fans feel after this game.
Second time in PL history that Spurs have won a game at the Bridge, last time was nearly 10 years ago.
As a Chelsea fan, I can accept losing to Tottenham.
What I cannot accept is pretending every defeat is just a bad day and moving on without asking serious questions.
Rival fans will enjoy the result, and that is football. But Chelsea cannot build a winning mentality if we only want to discuss the positives when things go wrong.
Supporting a club does not mean defending everything it does.
