I make low effort videos and low effort streams on YouTube. I'm slowly learning to edit better, but I'm not trying that hard.

You get into an online spat with someone from New York. They know you're a gun owner, and they don't like your politics. A few weeks later, there's a knock on the door. It's the police, demanding you hand over your firearms. Why? A New York bureaucrat signed off on a Red Flag order against you. You don't even live in New York. Doesn't matter. Under AB 1753, signed by Gavin Newsom, California police can enforce out-of-state Red Flag orders. New video up on YouTube.

"You mean to tell me that Todd Howard can't do whatever he wants anymore, and 343i was shut down?" "Yeah." "Well, I'll have a Coke, then."

"A responsible gun owner doesn't need more than 10 rounds." Tell that to the 50.8% of defensive gun owners who faced more than one attacker. Nearly 1 in 5 defensive gun uses involve three or more attackers. Magazine limits are written around a fantasy: one attacker, perfect aim, no misses, no panic, and no complications. Real self-defense does not happen under controlled conditions. You do not get to choose how many attackers show up. You do not get to dictate when the threat ends. And politicians should not get to decide, from the safety of a committee room, how much ammunition you are allowed to have when your life is on the line.

The 90s looked like the end. Waco and Ruby, the discourse over the AWB, everything pointed to continual erosion of the 2A, with the majorities blessing. The normies/fudds were perfectly content to be limited to their bolt action rifles and pump shotguns, they could not conceive of how those things would eventually be branded "high power sniper rifles" that also needed to be banned. GW said he'd sign a renewal of the AWB. The NRA had convinced everyone that the GOA was a scam org, while doing absolutely fuck-all with our dues other than provide Wayne LaPierre the lifestyle he'd come to expect. The future was *bleak.* Unbeknownst to most of us, there was positive action happening at the state level. A wave of shall-issue ccw laws in the 90s, primarily in the south, happened, but with the federal government seeming to be on an unstoppable march, it was hard to see. The only positive was flipping Congress after the passage of the AWB, and holding the line long enough that it sunset. With that market being suppressed for 10 years, the budding internet economy, discussion forums, and the war on terror translated into significant demand for new, no-ban AR15s. What were once $1,000 rifles minimum became less expensive, with more options and more diversity across the value spectrum. The Heller decision, coinciding with Obama's election and anti-gun rhetoric just continued to increase demand as people who'd lived through the AWB anticipated another. I see the sunset of the AWB as the crux of the RKBA movement. Had that law been renewed, I don't think we'd be anywhere close to where we are today, and when I think back to 2005, I never in my most optimistic dream would think we'd be in our current position, where shall-issue CCW is the norm, functional AR15s can be had for <$500, actual movement on NFA not only in interest by gunowners (fudds buying cans!>?) but e-forms, a reduction of the tax, removal of SBRs, etc. Truly other than perhaps pre-1986, or pre-68, we live in the golden age of RKBA, and '86 hardly matters with the advent of bumpstocks leading to the Cargill decision, Franklin Armory pushing the envelope with binary triggers and finally now FRTs. And I honestly believe that Leticia James going after the NRA while the membership was finally becoming ultimately aware of what a joke the organization had become, turning thousands of members to Firearms Policy Coalition, GOA, 2nd Amendment Foundation, accelerated all of this. What a time to be alive. I don't know how anyone can blackpill on the 2A if they've been involved and paying attention for more than 5 years. Our greatest challenge will be to keep the momentum going, because we absolutely have it, and Gen Z/A refuse to believe the kind of nonsensical bullshit the government/left was able to feed the normies of the 80s and 90s who had no ability to fact check them online and still for some reason believed the media generally spoke the truth.
