The most dangerous gun advice usually comes from someone trying to help you. It sounds responsible — right up until one bad assumption turns a frightened homeowner into the person being investigated. What's the worst "helpful" gun advice you've ever been given?

HK fans — the VP9 shrank. The VP9CC: 3.13-inch barrel, 10+1 or 12+1, six backstraps, an optic cut sitting 40% lower. Carry gun or collection piece?
Shotgun hunters — TriStar's Viper is now the G3: tougher gas system, oversized controls, in 12, 20, 28 and .410. Duck blind or clays first?
Springfield fans — the Echelon just went Pro. Grey slide, integral comp, cracked-earth Badlands grip, flared magwell, three sizes. Worth the upgrade?

.44 Magnum, but the barrel fires from the BOTTOM of the cylinder. Chiappa's Rhino 60DS puts the recoil straight back, not up. Genius or gimmick?

CZ fans — the P-10 just got a successor. The new DUTY 4.0: serialized steel chassis, 17+1, mounts a dot with no adapter plate. Upgrade or sidegrade?
Shotgun guys — box mag, AR controls, 12 gauge. Tokarev's TT-12 Pro: 18.5-inch barrel, swappable chokes, bilateral controls. Mag-fed shotgun — range toy or real tool?
The BP9cc grew up. Bersa’s new BP9 FS is a full-size 17+1 9mm — optics-ready, 4.25″ barrel, $450 MSRP. At that price, what’s it missing?

A Minneapolis influencer asked Republicans:
“If it's not the guns, then what's your plan?”
So I looked into it.
And here's what makes this interesting.
After the Annunciation school shooting, Minnesota Republicans proposed school security grants, resource officers, and mental health funding.
Meanwhile, Minnesota had already passed expanded background checks and a red flag law in 2023.
Those laws didn't prevent that tragedy.
So the debate became about passing additional restrictions.
But here's the question nobody should skip:
If a gun law doesn't prevent a shooting, how do we determine what actually went wrong before writing the next one?
And should school security and mental health proposals receive the same attention as gun restrictions?
I want to hear your answer.
What's the ONE thing you would change first to make schools safer?

Two rifle ban cases at SCOTUS. Plenty of government bullshit left to answer.
Here’s what’s ahead in Viramontes and Cheeseman as we fight to put America’s most popular rifles beyond the reach of anti-gun politicians.
Mark your calendars.
One question decided the #1 spot: if tomorrow really did change, which gun would you be happiest knowing was already in your safe? This was the answer. Agree — or what's yours?

Saturday range rule: the gun you shoot best is rarely the one you brag about most. The safe queen loses to the beat-up trainer every time. What's the ugliest gun in your safe that outshoots everything else you own?
.45 fans — you wanted capacity without giving up the cartridge. Most .45s stop far short of this. Stoeger's new STR-45 Combat goes 16+1, 5.18-inch threaded barrel, optic-ready. Does 16+1 change the .45 argument?
