the main reason my student loan payments are so unmanageable is because i decided i didn’t actually want to die. so i just want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the love and support. i have an autoimmune disease and a little over two years ago it almost killed me. my health was in a very poor place. i was resigned to just letting it happen because i was tired of fighting after finding out the damage from covid was permanent. i’d lost my voice, my main source of income, a huge part of who i was, i felt like shit every day because my body was unwell. i just didn’t want to try anymore. i thought “if i just didn’t wake up tomorrow, i wouldn’t have to deal with this.” and that was a huge wakeup. i started doing what i could to take better care of my health—that meant health insurance costs, testing costs, medication costs, doctors visit costs, and with my loans raising the interest rates from 3% to 10%? my monthly payments just aren’t manageable anymore on top of my regular healthcare needs.. but i don’t want to be sick again. i want to live. i want to do something and give myself as much time as i can. so thank you. i really appreciate every one of you in my community for always having my back 💗 you have to keep doing your best—for yourself—because you never know if your voice could be the one that changes the world one day. see you soon for the rest of streamathon! 💗⚠️
