Some personal news:
I'm stepping up as Co-Founder of @o2dotapp alongside @IAmNickDodson and @rishabhkeshan.
After over 4 years at @fuel_network, and the past year focused almost entirely on o2, this is a milestone I'm incredibly proud of.
When we started o2, we wanted to show what Fuel's technology was actually capable of.
We built a fully onchain orderbook exchange where every orderbook is a smart contract, with execution times as low as 20ms. Fuel's performance made it possible to build something that would otherwise be extremely difficult without relying on an offchain matching engine.
But great technology alone doesn't make a successful business. You still need to find users, understand what they want, and figure out how to make the economics work.
Over the past year, I've been deeply involved in shaping o2, from product design and positioning to defining our market structure, trading pairs, liquidity strategy, pricing, and growth.
I also designed and led our trading competition program, from the mechanics and incentives to the overall strategy and execution. Across competitions, we generated over $1.4 billion in trading volume and brought hundreds of traders to the exchange. Beyond the numbers, it gave us a much better understanding of trader behavior and what it takes to attract and engage users.
But generating trading volume is one thing. Turning that activity into a viable business is another.
That experience helped shape our thinking around Turbo, our funded trading product, which has since become o2's first meaningful revenue stream.
Turbo is showing early signs of PMF, but there's a significant gap between where we are today and where we need to be.
Our next objective is to close that gap. We're aiming to 10x revenue by improving Turbo across every front, from the trading experience and funded account offering to acquisition, conversion, and retention.
At the same time, we'll continue improving the underlying exchange, with deeper liquidity, margin trading, and broader markets, including RWAs.
On a personal level, this has been one of the most demanding experiences of my career. I've been pushed outside my comfort zone more times than I can count, often having to dive into problems I knew very little about and figure things out along the way. It has taught me to question my assumptions, understand problems more deeply, and accept that sometimes the only way forward is to rethink everything.
I've also learned an incredible amount working alongside Nick, Rishabh, and @Voxelot. Their experience and perspectives helped shape a lot of how I think today, and I'm genuinely grateful for their trust.
Becoming Co-Founder means a lot to me, especially after everything we've put into o2 over the past year. I'm proud of what we've accomplished, but there's still a long way to go before we've built the business we envision. Looking forward to taking on that challenge alongside the team.
Back to work.

This is not an easy business to run. The risk engine is the most important part if you want to keep operating in the long run.
I think you guys are doing a good job though on the transparency side to a very opaque industry.

Then you should integrate @o2dotapp into your analytics. We have permissionless payouts.
We don't approve, you just withdraw anytime your in profits.

Does that mean getting your payout approved? Or just generating profits?
I keep seeing more people complaining about the simulated trading aspect they see on prop firms.
On @o2dotapp Turbo accounts, you get to trade on live markets with real capital.
We currently offer up to $10K in instant prop trading capital, with evals, leverage, and bigger accounts coming up soon.
Vest Updated their TOS on October 20th stating that all accounts are simulated and there is no real trading capital.
They also claim to A Book orders and their favorite line "WE WIN WHEN YOU WIN"
I understand most Propfirms are simulated but most propfirms dont claim to WIN when you WIN. This is Shady Marketing when you can't explain how you are winning when people trading simulated capital you winning as well.
Something smells like Bullshit and when something smells like Bullshit it normally is....

Now I just have enough context to get the right result with Opus

I'd love to see firms publish how many people actually get paid, not just how many pass. Passing an evaluation means very little if you never manage to withdraw anything.
With @o2dotapp, you get to a funded account instantly and our payouts are permissionless. Any profit can be withdrawn anytime.

Gotcha. Yes forgot to add shorting on my list but it's definitely part of it.

Which pairs would you like to see next?
In terms of what's coming up next, we have:
1. Evals
2. Multiple accounts/ wallet
3. More pairs + Deeper markets
4. Margin trading (Leverage trading)
5. Larger account sizes
6. Better UX

That's one of the things that bothered me when we started looking into prop firms. The business model relies heavily on people repeatedly paying for evaluations they may never pass. We went with a different approach for @o2dotapp Turbo, starting with instant funding (no evaluations), but a higher entry cost. Different tradeoffs.

This is counterproductive. Trading is all about adaptability to market conditions. Switching strategies is normal behavior.

Arbitrary withdrawal minimums are frustrating. If profits are legitimate and risk limits were followed, why add another barrier to getting paid?
@o2dotapp Turbo removes that friction with permissionless withdrawals, giving traders more direct access to eligible profits under straightforward, trader-friendly rules.

That’s what I find so frustrating about the prop industry. You can follow all the rules, make money, and still have to convince someone to pay you. One of the reasons we made withdrawals permissionless on o2 Turbo.
