Unsponsored Scott Fauble, running in a Lululemon singlet he bought himself, finishes as the top American at the 2022 Boston Marathon in 7th in a pb of 2:08:52.
Fastest time by an American man in Boston since Meb Keflezighi ran 2:08:37 to win in 2014.

I think coaching/training is a huge factor in this (not just the spikes). Coaches country-wide have finally bought into threshold training as a central focus. Overkilling it with hard intervals week in and week out is finally dying out.

I often hear about people turning their vacation into “visiting every major league ballpark“. When I retire I want to do this with every Cross-Country Course. This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Choctaw Trails in Clinton Mississippi and was thoroughly impressed.

continuing to believe and trust in the process is probably one of the hardest parts of this sport. its a day after day after day build.
you cant just go outside and attempt to perfect your endurance in a few hours.
you have to keep working at it, you have to believe.

When High School Cross-Country runners get hurt in August and September it is almost alway for the same reason.
Because you did not get in the necessary work in July.

We are tremendously saddened to learn of the passing of Boston Marathon icon Dick Hoyt. Dick personified what it means to be a Boston Marathoner, finishing 32 races with son Rick. We are keeping his many family & friends in our prayers. bit.ly/DickHoyt

Earlier this morning, our account was compromised and an insensitive tweet was posted. The NAIA has no political stance and apologize to anyone that was offended by the post. We are taking the necessary steps to secure our account from this type of situation in the future.
