breathing is enough to give you away
each breath slightly changes how Wi-Fi waves reflect off your chest. with the right receiver and processing, those tiny changes can reveal your breathing rhythm
the graphs in this animation use real WiRe-Breath recordings: orange is the rhythm extracted from Wi-Fi, gray is a reference breathing sensor
i broke down how this works, and what else you can pull out of the radio waves around you, in the article below ↓

I miss the days before music streaming services . You had to find the CDQ songs and make your own cover art for albums. If people weren’t tapped in they just simply missed out

We must, then, avoid the “Babel syndrome,” namely the idolatry of profit that sacrifices the weak, a uniformity that neutralizes differences, and the pretense that a single language — even a digital one — can translate everything, including the mystery of the person, into data and performance. This is the risk of dehumanization: building a future that excludes God and reduces the other to a means.

You are constantly scanned like this without knowing it.
"This photo was taken with a camera modified with a filter to capture the infrared light emitted by a face recognition camera. I had to shoot the subject in total darkness in order to cut out visible light and allow the camera to pick up on the infrared beams of a face recognition camera"
