Thanks to data centers, Montana-Dakota utilities customers have seen electricity savings of roughly $70 per customer.
This will scale up to ~$250 when the buildout is done. Data centers save people money!

Reddit is absolute cancer that’s done legit, measurable harm to the world. The sooner it’s gone, the better.
The site is full of truly evil people who should be in prison… it’s THAT bad.
> be reddit
> foster culture of rampant anti-capitalist woke circlejerking on the platform
> advertisers can’t make $ from ads b/c reddit users are commies who think all businesses are evil
> realize only way to profit is to license content to AI labs for training
> AI labs already scraped all the content
> require login to prevent future scraping
> SEO traffic goes to zero
> usage drops 90%
> die a slow unremarkable death

I am the grumpiest person I know, and I affirmed every single child of over 300 of them with their costumes, face paint etc. I was so impressed how many kids said please and thank you. It gave me faith in humanity. I used to live in SF where there were no children. At least DC has kids!

Much of this description could easily apply to Rhodes himself during the Obama-era Syria catastrophe, particularly when it came to Assad’s use of chemical weapons. Perhaps projection is a form of progressive atonement now. Rather awkward, however, that Rhodes is clearly going after his fellow National Security Action colleagues, Jake Sullivan and Jon Finer. What those think tank all-hands must look like!
This from @brhodes is probably the best description of how the Democratic foreign policy elite has gone about the mundane perpetuation of US power in the post-Obama era.

IF you think this US-Canada dust up is because of recent Trump comments…you are sorely mistaken.
This has been coming for decades. NAFTA, China, EU issues have been festering between the two and made exponentially worse by Trudeau and now Carney.

Sarah Longwell: The point of The Bulwark is to elect Dems.
Me: The point of The Bulwark is to elect Dems.
Every single individual Bulwark writer simultaneously: I am Captain Intellectual Honesty, President Founder and CEO of Nonpartisan Industries, the only person on EARTH free from tribal allegiance. Now here, sit down and relax and let me explain to you how I reached my completely honest nonpartisan independent conclusion that the Democrats are right on literally not figuratively every single issue at every single level in every single election, also you’re a racist if you disagree.
Please. Let’s be adults here.

You see that dip in global life expectancy in the 1950s?
That was caused by one man, Mao Zedong.
Mbappe should have apologised only for not being ruder about him.

Ya'll, this is nuts.
Hundreds - that's right, HUNDREDS - of armed robberies between 2022 and 2024 weren't real.
They were staged by the "victims" as part of a massive immigration fraud scheme to secure U-visas for themselves and their families.

Barack Obama was horrible in a million different ways, but he doesn’t get anywhere near the hate he deserves for destroying the used car market for an entire generation.
15-year-old cars with 150,000 miles that should be selling for $3,000 are going for $15,000. It’s abominable. Pure destruction and thievery.

The Iranian economy is in shambles, the country has Great Depression levels of unemployment, inflation is over 100%, oil exports and revenue have dropped to $0, the Iranian Rial has collapsed over 60% of its value vs the Dollar since March, almost its entire navy has been sunk, virtually the entire upper echelons of the government were decapitated in the opening salvo of the war, and there now appears to be a growing rebellion against the central government in Balochistan.
In what universe does this put Iran in a stronger strategic position now than in January?
