This was such a tragic cases my thoughts are with the family affected. Button batteries are in virtually every household. Please ensure they are kept out of toddlers hands. If you think a child may have swallowed one, attend A&E immediately.
Dr Anna Pigott, Consultant Paediatrician at #UHNM, is warning parents about the dangers of button batteries which power everyday objects like key fobs, remote controls, musical cards and children's toys. The warning follows the tragic death of a toddler:
