I can deal with a lot of difference in views and opinions but two things will get you blocked: 1) The R word. I have two autistic kids and do not tolerate that slur. 2) Dishonesty/posting misinformation without correction. There is no such thing as debate when one side lies.

Now that woke is back, I just want everyone who abruptly started using the r-word again 2 years ago to know I remember who you are and it will always define you in my mind

Every single one of them who swore they’d leave and take jobs with them will move the goalposts and stay now. It was always an empty threat.

I know my TN friends are feeling left out today but that governor race was a lot closer than a lot of people expected. If there’s a silver lining it’s that the days of a ham sandwich winning any race in TN because they have an R by their name are coming to an end.

Morning (okay, afternoon I’ve been busy lol) after confession. I voted yes on I-645. I went back and forth a lot but ultimately I couldn’t reward the Dems for what I thought was bad policy just because I don’t like Let’s Go Wa and didn’t want them to get the win.

I support taxing the wealthy, I support a 9% tax on income over $1M but I think the legislature needed to be more intentional about earmarking the funds and needed to back up their talk about actually fixing our regressive tax system with reducing other taxes.

I did struggle with the part of I-645 that banned an income tax forever because I do think our tax policy needs to be overhauled to make it less regressive but voting against it because I hate all of their other initiatives would make me feel like a hypocrite so I didn’t.

Got a job recruiter email this morning from an “artificial intelligence” startup so I guess we’re done with that whole “super intelligence” crap, huh?

Someone needs a civics class. I don’t think her clueless MAGA cheerleader routine is going to pay the bills after last night. Congress controls every federal agency because Congress controls the budget. Trump’s agenda is done.
Congress doesn’t control the DOJ. Congress doesn’t control DHS. Congress doesn’t control the FBI. Finish the job, Mr. President. Do it quickly and without apology. ✅ Deportations ✅ Fraudsters ✅ Illegal voters ✅ Those who aid and abet them

Every single element of their insipid masturbatory communications strategy was designed around what young men supposedly liked. No single group shifted more to the left.

If she loses to Scott Colom, Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith will have helped set her own defeat in motion. He'd likely be a federal judge right now—not her opponent—if not for the fact that she blocked Biden's nomination of him over his support for trans rights. mississippifreepress.org/sen…

A “blue trickle”? Oh boy the cope is real this morning. Jim, you failed. Big.
Statement from @WAGOP Chairman Rep @JimWalshLD19 on WA's Midterm Election returns, thus far. "Based on the modeled profiles of ballots received but not yet counted, WAGOP expects to grind out wins in LDs 12, 14, 18, and possibly 26. The Left will not have a supermajority in Olympia. "Conservatives held the Congress seats in the 4th and 5th Districts. And we're not conceding WA-03 yet. "We're very happy that the people have agreed to protect girls' sports in Washington. And late ballots may push the initiative to restore the Parents' Bill of Rights over 50 percent. "Finally, we're happy that the State Supreme Court will have at least one independent voice. That's a start. "The rest of the country may have seen a 'blue wave.' In Washington, it was a blue trickle." @WaHouseGOP @WashingtonSRC @KCGOP @gop_yakima @snocogop @PierceGop @spokanegop @CCRP_WA

“I’ll let you know if/when you should leave the state” lmao This is the guy who changed his Twitter name from “SwankForThePeople” to “SaveOurSheriff” because it is all about HIM. After fully embracing MAGA, he now blames everything on Trump. What a loser.
President Trump owns the Republican losses nationwide, and here in Washington. He didn't finish the war in Iran. Gas prices are up. Cost of living is up. Republicans are mad at him, and they either didn't vote or they voted for Democrats just to "show him" how mad they are. Here in Washington, we went even further to the left. Democrats will have a super-majority in Olympia. Here are my national predictions and state ones. Within 90 days of the new Congress, Democrats in DC will impeach Trump, Hegseth, and Patel. They will do whatever they can to defund ICE. Democrats want open borders because they know the majority of non-white people vote Democrat as shown in the current election. It's all about power. In Olympia Democrats will act on the "mandate." They are already writing up changes to our state constitution. They will go after the Office of Sheriff, and if they get a supermajority in both houses, they will change the constitution to make ALL sheriffs appointed. Once they control sheriffs, it's really all over. They will change the income tax threshold to $500,000 because "the people voted for that." Because the income tax initiative failed more and more businesses will leave the state. They will challenge Initiative 638 (no boys in girls' sports) and fast track it to the State Supreme Court, where it will be ruled unconstitutional for some made up reason. If you are a Republican or a conservative, and you are looking for something good, there isn't much. Most is bad, and it's all Trump's fault. But, don't leave yet. Democrats in Olympia are drunk with power, and between now at 2028, they will really go overboard, and there will be a reckoning. I'll let you know when/if you should leave. In the meantime, stay and fight for our state.

No. I was a normie centrist Republican. All of us left. You are a MAGA apologist who is realizing you made a serious mistake.
Hell of a night to be a normie centrist Republican.

It's not at all stunning that Trump is accepting the results of the midterm. Him denying the 2020 results was because *he* lost. He isn't an ideological person, and doesn't very much care about other people losing.

Kansas last elected a Dem to the US Senate in 1932. What was important about 1932? Republicans passed the Smoot-Hawley tariff in 1930, and in '32 voters had the 1st chance to respond to its effects. Dems gained 97 House, 12 Senate seats, 11 governorships & the presidency.
