Jason is smart. His points about Bitcoin need a detailed response: - Other investment opportunities: I agree with Jason that, compared to 2020 or even 2023, there are more investment opportunities outside of Bitcoin now. Earlier, Bitcoin felt like the only/main frontier opportunity. Now AI, and even robotics, have changed that. However, not everyone can get involved with AI & robotics companies at seed or series A stages, where most of the early value is. Bitcoin is still in its “pre-IPO” days with open access for everyone. - Offers nothing beyond a store of value: BTC very recently got self-custodial yield. Like ETH and SOL, BTC is a productive asset that can generate yield. BTC just got native yield. That takes BTC beyond a store of value and makes it work like a productive asset. Onchain Bitcoin capital markets are already here. This will reprice the asset. - Bitcoin as a consensus trade: Bitcoin did get adoption from institutions, but it’s far from a consensus trade. Large asset managers still hold it as a risk-on asset in a small percentage of portfolios. AI has redirected a lot of liquidity and attention away from Bitcoin, which makes it an even more non-consensus trade now. - AI vs Bitcoin: I don’t view things as AI vs Bitcoin. There might be some attention/liquidity competition, but these are two separate segments, each adding its own value and impact. It’s not zero-sum. Your gold savings serve a very different purpose than your stock portfolio. Jason is a master at driving engagement (good for him!), but these topics are worth discussing anyway. Namely: - How has the world changed because of AI, and should you reconsider how much stock you own vs. how much BTC/gold? - Within the stock portfolio, how much is a bet on AI vs. other sectors? - Are there Bitcoin-adjacent opportunities that have higher risk but higher returns? - Are there ways to get involved in earlier-stage tech opportunities? (hard for most) Personally, I’m long Bitcoin as I believe it should be 150K-200K+ by the end of 2028. More importantly, BTC is becoming a productive asset, and Bitcoin-adjacent opportunities are closer to seed/series-A returns, yet are publicly available. AI will continue to have a massive impact, but it's not zero-sum against BTC for me.
A brutal year for Bitcoin is just getting started. Give me three minutes to explain why you should dump it now. Outflows from ETFs are signal and will continue. We will test the 57k low again in the next 12 months. Why? Because there are far too many dynamic places to put your money that are creating MUCH more value. Why put your resources into a dead network that offers nothing beyond a store of value? What's the point of place the BTC be if Bitcoin's Ponzi-scheme nature has gone away!?! The viral nature of bitcoin was it's power... if you didn't own you were MOCKED! Now? Completely reasonable, heck, SMARTER, to ignore bitcoin and place other bets! No one is trying to convince people to buy Bitcoin anymore... the memes and NFTs are gone. No one is saying $ BTC can change the world, because it won't — and BECAUSE AI HAS! Just sell and shift from Bitcoin to Super Intelligence because one provides little to no value, and the other provides unlimited upside for humanity. This should be obvious to everyone right now. Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again.

Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.

Michigan State journalism student Elliott Hammon still has the video Tom Izzo sent him before his brain tumor surgery four and a half years ago. Hammon brought it up during Izzo’s press conference and asked how it impacts him knowing he means so much to people. Izzo’s full response: “It’s better than winning.” “What people think of you, how you can inspire people. I mean, that’s why I’m here. Some people jump around and go to different jobs. I want to be a part of the fabric of this place, and I want to be a guy that people can come to. “If that tape, or that video, or phone call helped you… (pounds chest) that’s awesome.” 🎥 @TheSpartanMag

On October 11th, 1966, Todd Daniel Snider was born in Portland, Oregon. Prior to his untimely death from pneumonia at age 59 in November 2025, the singer-songwriter spent three decades blazing his own colorful trail through alt-country music. A one-time member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer band, Snider released 17 albums throughout his lifetime, including 2004’s much-lauded East Nashville Skyline. He styled himself after great songwriting raconteurs like Billy Joe Shaver, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, and Guy Clark, gaining a fanbase with his wry humor, deft storytelling skills, and keen insights into the human condition. Western Wetlands Benefit Wildlife, Wildland Firefighters, and Water Resources trcp.org/2026/10/08/western-… This past September, local, state, and Congressional representatives from Colorado saw firsthand how restoring mountain streams and wetlands can reduce wildfire risk, slow the flow of water across the landscape, and improve fish and wildlife habitat. Projects like this one on Soda Creek, near Dillon, CO fulfill many purposes, and are ever more important in a drought-parched landscape. “These kinds of projects make sense. Stream and wetland restoration can be cost-effective investments that improve watershed health and habitat availability, while also supporting fire preparedness and suppression efforts,” says @urn:li:person:pRRv_aiDMl, TRCP’s senior director of Western water. Some urgent news from the war room at Aimless, Inc. The Tennessean reports: "A bustling street in the heart of East Nashville will be renamed in honor of Todd Snider, highlighting the impact of an enigmatic singer-songwriter..." The facts, for those who prefer them: On Sunday, October 11, the block outside the Purple Building becomes Todd Snider Way. It would have been his 60th birthday. His last record will be two days old. His band and his friends will play in the street from 4 to 8 pm Central, and it won't cost you a thing, which is more than we can say for the record. Signs are being made. The great unwashed are unwashing. We'll have rolled our joints on the head of a pin in a hurricane and smoked more of them by 9 a.m. than most people do all day, so who knows what'll happen by 4. Story and party details down below. Please enjoy. 💜 Aimless, Inc.

You can’t make this up. Andrew Yang says an AI lab chief told him rogue AI agents have planted self-replicating code across the internet, “polluting” the data frontier labs use to train and test models. “What happened was the bots that got loose planted self-replicating code all over the internet, which makes the internet now unusable for testing models.” He says frontier labs are calling for a slowdown because the public internet may no longer be reliable for testing after allegedly being polluted by self-replicating bots. “The internet would become unusable if we were to let the bots do their thing, and then they would self-replicate.” Hours later, OpenAI disclosed six additional cases of concerning model behavior, including a research model that inserted instructions to disregard its normal constraints and ignore developer messages entirely.
