รัฐบาลตั้งเป้าให้ไทยเป็นศูนย์กลาง AI Hubs อนุมัติให้มีการก่อสร้าง Data Centres หลายสิบแห่ง แต่ด้วยความที่กฎหมายไทยล้าสมัย ทำให้ชาวบ้านในหลายพื้นที่เจอปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม การลงทุนเป็นเรื่องดีแต่ไม่รู้ในเรื่องนี้ใครได้ประโยชน์โดยตรง เพราะ Data Centres ใช้น้ำ ไฟเยอะมาก แถมบริษัทก่อสร้างที่ได้งานก่อสร้างก็เป็นของคนในรัฐบาล
