Earlier this year, SBA removed about 700 firms from its 8(a) program – rooting out those that did not qualify as “economically disadvantaged,” as well as those who refused to share basic financial data for review.
Today, we shared those firms with @USGSA, which will scrutinize their past government contract awards for potential fraud, improprieties, and financial misrepresentation.
The Trump SBA will not tolerate bad actors exploiting federal contracting programs at the expense of honest small businesses or American taxpayers.
FRAUD UPDATE: Today, SBA is referring nearly 700 noncompliant 8(a) firms to GSA for review to evaluate potential fraud in their government contracting history.
This action comes as part of SBA’s broader effort to restore accountability to the 8(a) Program for “socially and economically disadvantaged” small businesses.

Honestly, as a small business owner, I still don't know what it is the @SBAgov can do for me. Havnt found it to be a helpful at all, I wish it was the opposite. I wish it was full of folks actually looking to help small business owners, but please keep up the good work.
