Newcastle with a striker win that game. Newcastle with eleven men win that game.
The heart and passion shown in that second half is a huge positive. NUFC will feel hard done by not to get at least a point, Liverpool lucky to get all three.

I agree that clubs like Villa, Forest and Newcastle are on the wrong side of history when it comes to PSR. The rules were introduced to prevent a NEW Chelsea or City challenging the established elite. They have nothing to do with either profitability or sustainability.

Chelsea are becoming a really good team. Thoroughly deserved their victory today. Villa have problems but it would be stupid to ignore the fact they and Newcastle were royally screwed by PSR when they wanted and could afford to push on. Emery and Howe asked to work miracles to try to repeat top four seasons.

✍️ After a week of PR own goals, here was an afternoon of yet more self-inflicted wounds. The black-and-white signage may have gone, but in its place was a red carpet - & Newcastle walked all over their dutiful hosts

Van dijk should’ve been sent off against Everton today.
Newcastle robbed of a goal today.
Leeds should’ve had a penalty which overall resulted in their manager being sent off.
West Ham robbed of a goal wth the worst VAR decision we’ve ever seen.
Something HAS GOT TO CHANGE.

If it's not a goal, it's a penalty. Simple. #NUFC
Are Premier League referees bringing the game into disrepute after another VAR debacle went against #NUFC?
This fan group - @TalkofTyneside - certainly think so...

No. Willock clearly pushed into the keeper. Pathetic decision
Correct decision at St. James' Park? 🤔
Newcastle have controversially had a goal ruled out!

Comparison of commercial income in the Premier League when Mike Ashley bought Newcastle to the most recent figures. I'm not saying Magic Mike is a toxic influence but... #NUFC

There’s no question that money plays a hugely important role in sports and football, as it does with anything. However, there is a line that should not be crossed when you begin to endanger the essence of the game and it’s competitive nature. #SuperLeagueOut #PremierLeague

There’s no way Steve Bruce can stay in charge of #nufc. Should be sacked tonight. Players have downed tools. Abysmal performance. Clear the decks. It’s over. (*returns to week off and deletes twitter from phone again)

Steve Bruce admitted on Friday this was Newcastle’s biggest game of the season. But that was a performance of a team who had given up. I can’t see how the manager can survive this #NUFC – at Byker, England
