I’m so impressed by my colleague Christine Huel at @uSaskNursing Peer review (if you do it well) is challenging, so to see an early career person like her be recognized is impressive
In celebration of #PeerReviewWeek, JBI would like to recognise outstanding peer reviewer, Dr Christine Huel, Assistant Professor, University of Saskatchewan College of Nursing. 🎉 Read more in the full news story: jbi.global/news/sustaining-h… #JBIEBHC @PeerRevWeek @uSaskNursing

The sickest patients expire in a hospital bed. The hospital bed didn't cause them to die. That's the difference between association and causation. As said by Dr. Jerome Hoffman, the greatest ER doctor that ever lived. If only people could understand the difference.

Admittedly, a detailed report about survey methodology isn't for everyone. But this new @pewresearch study has some hilarious examples of "trap questions" used to weed out bogus survey respondents. 10% said they've visited the International Space Station. pewresearch.org/methods/2026…

Here's the "In Canada" song that brother Dave, son Evan and I made a few years ago, along with a cast of dozens. The girl who climbs up on the dock at 3:53 just got married here at the cottage - can't get more Canadian than that! – at Canada

#Measles update: The confirmed case count this year has risen to 1792 cases as of 4/24/26. To put that in context: In just under 4 months, 2026 has racked up 78% as many measles cases as were confirmed in the entirety of 2025. Only 10 were contracted abroad. cdc.gov/measles/data-researc…

A measles outbreak in South Carolina (993 cases, 20 hospitalizations, 5 months) cost an estimated $35.5M- about 6.7% of the state public health budget! Vaccinating the same group? Just $66K–$134K. Every $1 spent on vaccines could’ve saved $536. Prevention isn’t just smarter- it’s dramatically cheaper. Put another way, more measles outbreaks means higher taxes - for everyone. 🤷🏽‍♂️ americanactionforum.org/week…
