Pete Hegseth wanted a priceless WWII-era globe associated with Eisenhower moved into his office. His staff rushed the move, and the globe shifted, smashing down onto its base and leaving a gash near Antarctica while damaging its mount.
The military historians who normally handled artifacts like this were furloughed during the shutdown and never brought back. Rather than wait for expert help that was required, Hegseth’s staff tried moving it themselves.
They dropped it.
This sums up not only Hegseth’s appointment, but the entire Trump presidency.

2 problems I noticed when voting in Florida yesterday. Why aren’t republicans concerned?:
1 - They require you to sign your signature with your finger on a tablet. That signature can be used to throw out your vote if it doesn’t match the signature they have on file, which you signed with a pen.
2 - They require you to vote via paper ballot, using a pencil to fill in the bubble next to your choice. You then run your ballot through a machine that counts the votes, but you don’t get to see if the machine read your choices correctly.
Shouldn’t republicans who care about “election security” be concerned with this?

The intimidation has begun. Yesterday armed Federal agents showed up at a polling place in Key Largo called the Murray Nelson Government center to try & enforce immigration laws which is against Federal laws & the Constitution to try and intimidate people at polling places.
