ai.gov to si.gov. a small change in the URL, but a pretty interesting shift in how the government wants to frame the future of intelligence.

si.gov is the one to keep an eye on. The name is already there, now it’s just a matter of seeing what the White House does with it.

He says anyone still calling it AI instead of his preferred “Super Intelligence” is “THE ENEMY!”
The funniest part is that the White House itself is apparently behind enemy lines.
Its official AI website is still AI .gov. Its science and technology office still uses “artificial intelligence.” And the executive order demanding the rebrand actually defines “Super Intelligence” using the existing legal definition of AI.
There’s a real technical distinction here, too.
Artificial intelligence already exists. Superintelligence generally refers to a hypothetical system that surpasses human intelligence.
Changing the name doesn't make the technology smarter.
But the administration has gone far enough that its own chatbot now corrects people who say AI.
We're now in that timeline where the government's artificial intelligence is enforcing a ban on calling it artificial intelligence.
