Her arms go around the girl, offering a gentle squeeze of reassurance. She’s not had much interaction with kids— but it feels almost natural with Wanda. “That’s not true, sweet girl. I think you’re much more brave than all of us. And the sweetest, definitely.”

"No doctor, I promise." Clint nods and then crouches down to carefully inspect her ankle, making sure to not move it too much. "Does it hurt a lot? Can you move your foot?" He asks, trying to not look too worried.

There’s a nod while Maria reaches down, delicately tucking a bit of fallen hair behind Wanda’s ear. “You’re smart too, little one. And the bravest girl I’ve ever met. Did you know that?”

"That's okay, they scare me too sometimes. Would it be alright if I take a look at where it hurts?" He asks, voice calm and a soft smile on his face. Clint doesn't approach any further, but waits for her permission to take a look at her injury, he doesn't want to frighten her.

Growing attached might not be the smartest move. But Maria knows she’s already well passed that point. Wanda has found a special place in her heart. “That’s very true.” She laughs, gently booping the girl’s nose. “I bet she could though, if she wanted to learn.”

The brunette thinks of this moment— how she could see herself being mother. It would be more rewarding and fulfilling than anything else she’s ever done— including helping others to save the world on a few occasions. “Squidward reminds me of Tasha. He’s grumpy sometimes.”
