A new cast of soft-on-crime politicians will soon take power. My mission doesn’t change: protect the 10 million people of the Southern District of Texas, uphold the rule of law, do justice, and restore order on our streets and at the border. Two more years. Buckle up.

We established the FBI’s new Director’s Strategic Information Center (DSIC) — monitoring critical incidents and emerging threats 24/7. Intelligence that once took HOURS to share now takes UNDER ONE MINUTE. No delays. No excuses. No letting threats get ahead of us. Faster intelligence. Faster response. A relentless FBI. DKP🇺🇸

The fraudsters thought they could steal from American taxpayers and get away with it. Not anymore. Yesterday, FBI Minneapolis conducted an operation and arrested 4 alleged Medicaid fraudsters tied to over $41 MILLION in intended fraud and $21.65 MILLION in actual losses. And we’re just getting started. Under @POTUS and @VP, this FBI has delivered in just 21 months: 🇺🇸 2,811+ arrests 🇺🇸 2,749 indictments 🇺🇸 $2.3 BILLION+ seized — UP 71% Our Feeding Our Future investigation has resulted in 81 charged, 70 convicted, and over $533 MILLION in combined restitution. And our first-ever Most Wanted Fraudsters List has helped bring 6 fugitives responsible for approximately $2 BILLION in combined losses back to face justice. Thanks to @VP, @SecScottBessent, @TheJusticeDept our agents, forensic accountants, and law enforcement partners. DKP🇺🇸

One of the five — Karen Hinojosa Martinez — was indicted Tuesday in McAllen. A judge issued a warrant for her arrest, but there's no indication on the docket that she's actually been arrested #rgv
I'm charging five foreigners for illegally voting in federal elections. U.S. elections should be free, fair, honest, and legal—and FOR AMERICANS ONLY. The process deserves 100% confidence of the American people. My office is doing its part to secure the ballot box!

Introducing the City of Starbase Police Department's Cybertrucks! As we build Starbase's first municipal police department under Chief Glenn Bennett, these trucks will be part of our fleet serving the community. It's been exciting to watch the department come together piece by piece, from the first hires to the equipment that will help our officers serve residents, workers, and visitors. The department is taking shape, and we look forward to sharing more along the way.

Border & Cartel update 30 October 2026 THE PRESS •At a hearing Thursday before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Panama, Mexican civil groups said 103 journalists and human rights defenders were killed and 10 disappeared from January 2022 through September 2026. Only four of those 113 cases have ended in a conviction. Mexico's OAS envoy, Alejandro Encinas, defended the government's protection mechanism. •Indigenous journalist Marcela de Jesús Natalia, who survived a 2017 shooting in Ometepec, Guerrero, told the commission the state has failed to investigate attacks on reporters. She cited CIMAC's count of 530 attacks on women journalists since October 2022. •Article 19 says the torture trial of former Puebla Gov. Mario Marín over the 2005 detention of journalist Lydia Cacho held closing arguments Thursday. A federal judge in Cancún will now rule, nearly 21 years after the case began. THE BORDER •Breitbart Texas (Ortiz & Darby): the international bridges between Brownsville and Matamoros closed Thursday after Mexican forces arrested Axel "Titán" Cárdenas, son of Gulf Cartel boss José Alfredo "El Contador" Cárdenas Martínez. Gunmen torched vehicles, set up blockades and threw road spikes trying to stop his transfer, but he was flown to Mexico City. The bridges have since reopened. •Tamaulipas authorities counted 12 blockades in Matamoros and Río Bravo and confirmed that a minor died and two people were hurt. Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch says Cárdenas is the alleged No. 2 of the Gulf Cartel's Ciclones faction and is accused in a May 17 attack that killed a federal officer guarding the U.S. Consulate in Matamoros. •San Diego: a federal grand jury indicted Luis Manuel Hernández Victoria, "El Ingeniero," 60, on charges including material support to CJNG, a designated terrorist group. Prosecutors say he engineered a 2,000-foot tunnel from Tijuana to a Buy 4 Less store in Otay Mesa, found in May with more than a ton of cocaine. Mexican authorities arrested him in Jalisco Oct. 15. MEXICO •Sinaloa: soldiers killed three armed men who attacked them in La Guásima, Concordia, Thursday, and arrested a wounded man with an AK-47, Línea Directa reports. Troops also destroyed about 1,490 liters and 400 kilos of meth chemicals in the Culiacán highlands. Two of the six young people taken Tuesday in Culiacán's Villas del Real were still unaccounted for as of Thursday, per La Razón. •Michoacán: Marines and federal agents arrested three alleged leaders of a cell in Coahuayana that authorities say controlled maritime cocaine routes along the Aquila coast and extorted local businesses. No shots were fired. WASHINGTON •A federal judge in Virginia sentenced Wenshen Xu, a Honduras-based Chinese national extradited from Guatemala, to 12 years for cocaine trafficking, money laundering and material support to CJNG. DOJ says his network moved more than 450 kilos of cocaine into the U.S. and laundered more than $22 million, partly through crypto. LATIN AMERICA •Ecuador extradited three men to the U.S., including businessman Daniel Salcedo, a suspect in the 2023 killing of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio, and an alleged Los Choneros lieutenant known as "Churrón." President Noboa says that makes nine extraditions. •Honduras' Congress passed a law giving gang members 30 to 40 years and leaders up to life, with mandatory pretrial detention and some home searches without a warrant. The Supreme Court had raised due-process concerns that lawmakers did not adopt.
