𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 A brand new study involving Chris O’Brien Lifehouse clinician researcher and CEO, Professor Michael Boyer, has identified how circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) can be extracted from the blood of patients with non-small cell lung cancer and may help identify when treatments are working. The publication in Clinical Cancer Research analysed samples from patients who participated in two major phase III trials of new treatments, and has identified that monitoring changes in ctDNA may help doctors identify which patients are benefiting from treatments, and who might need to consider alternative treatments. As two of our fundamental organisational pillars: our research and our future, it’s important to share the work that our researchers are achieving every day. By contributing to existing academia, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse researchers are collaborating with the country and world’s most innovative minds to innovate and transform cancer treatment and understanding.
