There's an outside chance of Boston hitting 70F 6 days in a row this Monday-Saturday The record for 70s in a row during November is 4 (in 2020 and 2022) Record for total 70s during the whole month is 6 Extremely mild stuff for the time of year, even if some of those days stay in the 60s

Boston hit 70 degrees already today...the average final 70 in Boston comes on November 1...last year our last 70 was October 8th, the earliest on record! Perhaps one of the first signs that this fall/winter is already trending much different than last

6 years ago today: October 30, 2020 ❄️ An historic, unexpected, early season snow in SNE. 4-6” of snow fell across central and eastern regions, was quite a surprise to many!

Might see Red Flag Warnings for brush fire risk tomorrow. They've been battling fires out in the Berkshires/Taconics...need to be careful with/avoid any outdoor flames on Friday. #wbz

Hard to believe 15 years ago we were gearing up for an historic nor'easter, and the keep of southern New England's early-season winter storm outlier, with the May 9-10, 1977 Mother's Day snowstorm being the late-season comp... westernmassweather.com/weath…

Halloween is looking… chilly 🥶 🎃. Temps get to near 50° in the afternoon and then down into the 40s around Trick or Treat 🍭 time.

Our dry streak in Boston should run to a minimum of 16 days, perhaps longer. Just a docile sunny 2nd half of October that's been great for getting outdoors. #wbz

Humid ahead of our front this eve but big change on the way (again) for tomorrow. A frosty Sunday morning for most. If Boston gets to the 30s for the first time this season it would be right on time vs average. #wbz

Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across much of southern New England this afternoon and evening, especially between 5-10 PM. Damaging wind gusts and frequent lightning are the primary concerns, with locally heavy rainfall also possible. #MAwx #CTwx #RIwx

Feels like we are on the precipice of next week being very nice or very terrible Ocean storm lurking around off the eastern seaboard. Any farther west and it's days of cool and wet. A bit east and it's days of pleasant sunshine

SUMMER’S LAST GASP? Bordering on swampy out there today I it temps in the mid-upper 70s and dew points in the upper 60s. A far cry from our below freezing temperatures coming this weekend

Call me Dr. Doomsday - we're doing some research on historic storm events with outage prediction @PowerOutage_us . If a storm like Great New England 1938 storm hit we estimate almost 9 million customer outages. This would be a bad day. NOT A FORECAST. #hurricane #newengland

⚠️🌡️🥶 A widespread frost is possible across interior areas overnight into early tomorrow am. Cover sensitive vegetation tonight. Good morning. Quick update as tonight is the coldest night so far this season and overnight low temps have trended lower. As such, frost will be a bit more widespread after midnight into early Wednesday morning. The freeze warnings and frost advisories are only issued where a freeze or frost is expected for locations that are deemed to still be within the growing season. Interior CT, interior E MA and all of central and western MA will see temps in the low to mid 30s tonight with the potential for frost. RI is currently not included, but I still expect the normally colder spots within RI to see frost. Make sure you cover sensitive vegetation before going to bed tonight. Otherwise…no forecast changes through the weekend. High pressure is in control. Today is the chilliest day of the week with most staying in the upper 50s. A warming trend begins tomorrow, peaking on Thursday when most will see temps break into the low to mid 70s. Then near seasonable temps in the mid to upper 60s expected Friday, through the weekend, and into early next week. Sunshine expected each day, right into Sunday before more clouds move in through the day Sunday. 1/2

Still watching that first chance for frost in many towns Wednesday morning. Looks more to be the light and patchy variety than a killing freeze for most. The typical most sheltered valleys/low spots will be coldest. #wbz
