How #desolate lies the city, that was full of people...
Read our blog about our #postponed #GoodFriday performance of #Penthos at @LeedsMinster and listen to our full pre-#lockdown recording of Rudolf Mauersberger's piece written #OnThisDay 75yrs ago:

Six weeks later, over the following #EasterWeekend, he composed this motet Wie liegt die Stadt so wüst. The selection of words from The Lamentation of Jeremiah is so terse and disjointed you can sense the trauma; it’s the music that expresses so eloquently the depth of #darkness.
Two pieces so different in style and composed about 400 years apart, but equally stunning. Looking forward to singing those (and other music) on Good Friday 10 April 7.00pm @LeedsMinster

Looking back onto a fantastic past year: new name (married), new (to me) music and venues explored - small churches in the Cotswolds to Liverpool Cathedral and Beverley Minster (and lots of places in between) 🎶
Wishing everyone a 2020 full of happiness and lasting memories! 🎉🥂 – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England
