In the women’s 800m run, the Bears looked smooth coming in with the winner in both heats❗️ @brookie_smith23 and Jessica Cook will head into finals at 2:40 tomorrow ranked 1st and 2nd
The Bears had a good showing in the 800m preliminaries today as @hollywood_xav is looking good at the right time running a PR of 2:00.12 and @jacob_kemper84 also picked up an automatic qualifying spot to the finals.
The 800m Finals will be run at 2:25 tomorrow 🐻
Advancing to the Finals in both the 100m and 200m dash, @FaheemGilbert had a big day and will run the 100m dash at 1:55 tomorrow and the 200m dash at 3:30 tomorrow 🐻
The Bears have two 400m HH finalists for tomorrow.
Mark Scott ran a great run today to advance to the finals at 2:55 tomorrow and Tori Oehlers advanced on the women’s side to run finals at 3:10 tomorrow❗️
The Women’s 10,000m run went great for the Bears as well, placing three in the top 6 with @brookie_smith23 winning in a time of 38:59, @jozijean placing 4th in 41:24, and Mallory Spencer placing 6th 🐻🥇
To start the day, the 10,000m men logged 17 points for the Bears❗️
@oreeherXC placed 2nd with a time of 32:35, Steven Adams placed 3rd with a time of 32:43, Josh Metzung placed 6th and @jacob24_jacob placed 8th 🐻🥈🥉
Caleb Kennelly also had a great night at Otterbein, clearing a career best of 4.35m (~14’3”) to place 4th❗️🐻
Closing out the night for the Bears was two solid performances in the 5000m run by @sethfarmer611 at 15:16 to take the men’s portion, and a 17:27 by @brookie_smith23 in the women’s❗️🐻🥇
With Discus to go, Cody Tolliver has thrown great today, winning the Hammer Throw and placing 3rd in the Javelin Throw❗️🥇

Alexis Putnam had a long and well rounded day at Otterbein as she placed 3rd in Discus, 5th in both Shot Put and Javelin Throw, and 6th in Hammer Throw❗️🥉
