The Frymire family’s 2026-’27 Winter Weather Forecast is calling for a wild winter with multiple big snow events and extreme cold. ❄️⛄🥶 The popular winter weather forecasts are a longtime Kentucky tradition based on a Japanese elm tree and a secret formula passed down by the late Dick Frymire of Irvington. Dick Frymire, a folklorist and prognosticator known as the “Doctor of Barnyard Science,” created the forecasts and even appeared on The Tonight Show. He passed away in 2013, but his son J.L.
