5/ For question 4, we used this -- docs.google.com/spreadsheets… -- as the reference to calculate average cost to BPs. We'll be happy to recalculate any of the metrics, if you point us to new data sources, so we can verify the input data and publish new numbers.
2/ ... the comparison should be viewed based on this premise. We @storecoin believe that crypto adoption is hinged at being able to support real world web and mobile apps in a decentralized environment.
Response to xitter.cf/theblockstalk/status/1….
1/ Our goal for CPT was to determine what if we were to run real world, data-rich apps on these platforms? We understand that these platforms are designed with very different use cases in mind, so...
@storecoin I have reviewed your CPT report and there are several assumptions you (don't) make that make the comparisons invalid. I speak with intimate knowledge of #Ethereum and #EOS so would be happy to walk you through these.
19/ So, here's the TL;DR --
Any platform must be *cost effective* for developers and should not take their freedom away on how they can write, deploy, and optimize their apps.
18/ Because, sooner or later, we will have real world apps running on these platforms and the existing mindset on how decentralization should work will not be able to meet that requirement.
1/ Here's an interesting discussion on the current state of affairs with crypto today -- xitter.cf/twobitidiot/status/116…

1/ Responding to this tweet — xitter.cf/01DOGG01/status/115124… — in this thread. @storecoin and @SiaTechHQ address completely different use cases. They are more different than similar (except perhaps the use of Reed-Solomon erasure coding and other common techniques).
@SiaTechHQ Is already up and running
24/ Here's a previous comparison of practical security implications of Algorand's BFT consensus algorithm with @storecoin's BlockfinBFT consensus algorithm. news.storecoin.com/blog/stor…
9/ The encryption on Storecoin varies from app to app. User data can be encrypted purely with user's keys (as in Blockstack) or a combination of user's and app's keys ("M of N secret sharing"). In Storecoin, privacy is a "spectrum" allowing different use cases to exist.
1/ This thread compares @storecoin with @blockstack. The request for this comparison came from here — xitter.cf/menno_vg/status/114966…

@chrisamccoy , @AriDavidPaul , @TheCryptoDog ...you economic model and the overall idea seems very similar, almost like a c/p from what @saswata_0chain is doing with @0Chain. Their mainnet is launching in 1-2 months. Anybody care to elaborate how's @storecoin different>better?

Very detailed and insightful analysis! We (research.storecoin.com/block…) wrote a similar piece comparing PBFT, HotStuff, Libra, and Tendermint recently -- theblockcrypto.com/2019/06/1… -- from slightly different perspective.
25/ BlockFin extends Storecoin's "one entity, one vote" governance model to "one entity, one signature" during consensus. The votes are not weighed based on the users' account balance or stake, but purely by their count.
