Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary: on this day the protection of the Holy Mother of God is invoked through the prayer of the rosary, the garland of Mary, so as to encourage meditation on the mysteries of Christ under the guidance of her who shared in a singular way in the Incarnation, Passion, and Resurrection of the Son of God.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

At his first Chrism Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on Holy Thursday morning, Pope Leo XIV blessed and consecrated the sacred oils used throughout the Church’s sacramental life. During the rite, he added balsam to the chrism—symbolizing the “aroma of Christ”—and breathed over the oil, recalling the gift of the Holy Spirit. The chrism will be used in Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders in the Diocese of Rome.
Let us begin the Easter Triduum by asking the Lord for the grace to understand and live the profound mystery of His love and sacrifice. 🙏 ❤️
Holy Thursday is the "gateway" to the Easter Triduum, that is, it is the "beginning" of the most important period of Holy Week, where we commemorate the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord. Today's passage is from the Gospel of John 13: 1-15.
What do we remember on Holy Thursday?
1. The Last Supper: This is the day when Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with His apostles and instituted two sacraments for the salvation of humanity: the Eucharist and the Priesthood.
2. Washing of the feet: During the Mass, the priest washes the feet of 12 people in allusion to the 12 apostles at the Last Supper.
3. "A new commandment": On that day, Jesus washes the feet of the apostles, becoming a paradigm, model, and measure of love through service, and then tells them: "I give you a new commandment: that you love one another: as I have loved you, so you must love one another" (Jn 13, 35).
4. Visiting the 7 churches: From Holy Thursday to Good Friday, Catholics practice this devotion to accompany Jesus, present in the Tabernacles of the churches, on the night He was arrested.
In each Church, we thank Jesus Christ for the Eucharist and the priesthood, and we accompany Him in His sufferings from the Garden of Gethsemane to His burial.
