This is Salima Tete, Captain of the Indian Women’s Hockey team. 🇮🇳🏑
She led India to Asian Games Gold after 44 years and revived amazing reception! ♥️
But her village in Simdega, Jharkhand, still has no proper mobile network.
Despite raising the issue repeatedly, nothing has changed. Her father is even ready to donate land for a mobile tower.
She has to travel to an area with a signal just to check important messages.
Even after making India proud, she is still fighting for basic facilities in her own village.
Authorities need to look into this! 🙏

I’m not sure this system really makes sense for youth development.
Vietnam U20 underperformed and got relegated, but it’s actually the next generation that will pay the price. Their current U17s are going to the U17 World Cup, yet when they move up to U19, they’ll be stuck in the development programme because of the previous generation’s results.
A World Cup generation missing out on playing Asia’s best teams because their seniors failed. That’s a real shame.

Our game is built on rivalries, but sustained by solidarity.
Today, we stand with the players, supporters, and the city of Jamshedpur in the hope that Jamshedpur FC continues to be a part of Indian football's future.

It takes a lot to be a stakeholder in Indian football. It has been like that for some time now. But when everything around looks like it will crumble, you bank on family to hold on to each other. And more often than not, it is the elders in the house that you turn to, for assurance. All of you at the TATA Group, through TFA first, and then @JamshedpurFC, have been one of our pillars.
To know that Jamshedpur has folded first team operations is a punch to the gut. The players and staff will be without clubs, and they might find one by the end of it all. The League will have a team less, but the season will go on. However, not having the TATA group involved in the top tier of Indian football - that would be a disaster with no alternative.
I understand that some tough decisions in sport are down to what makes sense in the board room. But I can only request and hope that the think tank at TATA picks their heart over head and reconsiders this call. It might be a poor business decision, but it will be the one Indian football needs the most at this hour. – at Bengaluru South, India

APPEAL TO TATA GROUP
We, the players of Jamshedpur, with folded hands plead to Tata’s Top Leadership to rethink their decision. And not destroy the future of Indian Football. This club is the heart and soul of Indian football and the only hope for lakhs of upcoming players.

Through thick and thin, we were there. This city, these fans, and our undying loyalty deserved so much better than an empty void.

What a birthday gift for Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata.
A decision was taken in an air-conditioned boardroom by the Tata board, with little understanding of what Jamshedpur FC means to the people of Jamshedpur. For many, this club is more than just a football team; it's a source of identity and pride for the city. #IndianFootball
TRIBUTE TO A VISIONARY 🙏
Remembering JRD ‘Jeh’ Tata on his 122nd birth anniversary.
An aviator, industrialist, and nation builder. His vision, integrity and values continue to inspire and shape the future of Tata and India.
His legacy lives on in everything we do.💡

To kids, I have only one thing to say. Aspire to go to a grandslam one day. Not as a player but as an administrator. It is the sweetest gig out there. 750 usd per day in allowances, business class both ways and accommodation in a downtown Marriot in some of the best cities in the world. When someone talks about Indian sport, i always say this. The problem in Indian sport is not the lack of talent but the presence of extremely small and shameless men. It seems to be a vortex that attracts only the worst kind of vermin out there.
"So much talent but absolutely zero support especially in our make or break years.. zero returns for all the hard work
Only a revelation and a revolution can save Indian tennis"

🚨 "We tried to get the knee healing. Anything and everything we could do, we did," - Tejaswin Shankar
After being forced to withdraw from the high jump on the opening day of athletics due to patellar tendinitis, Tejaswin Shankar made a remarkable comeback just two days later to compete in the decathlon.
Despite the injury setback, India's decathlon national record holder ended Day 1 in 2nd place with 4339 points, just 14 points behind leader Damian Warner.
He also produced a lifetime best of 7.82m in the long jump, one of the standout performances of his opening day.
🎥 Watch Tejaswin explain what happened over those two days, how he managed his knee injury, and reflect on an impressive Day 1 of his decathlon campaign.

Yes, Day 1 with High Jump is TJ's strength but you just can't go scoring 4339 points, which is ~150th best Day 1 performance in Decathlon history, while competing with a Jumper's knee!
There's levels to madness but this is just a whole new one- The TJ Level!
TEJASWIN SHANKAR AMASSED 4339 POINTS ON DAY 1 OF DECATHLON AT THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES

Long Jump- 7.82m (+1.5 m/s 💨, Personal Best)

She is a minor and a para-athlete, two reasons why she needs a chaperone or attendant of her choice.
