𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂. ❤️ This beautiful mare is Hip 3095, scheduled to sell Tuesday, November 10, at Keeneland. She’s in foal to Hightail and is the last of the three 18-year-old mares still in the sale to head through the ring. We’d love to see plenty of buyers taking a closer look at her, with a plan for both the foal she’s carrying and her own future. 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗱. Mareworthy will provide Spooky Kitten a retirement home after her foal is weaned in 2027. Her buyer would own and care for her through pregnancy, foaling, and weaning, make a lifetime plan for the foal, and then arrange transportation and transfer ownership of the mare to Mareworthy. From that point forward, we would provide her lifetime retirement care. No accompanying financial donation is required. If you purchase her, please reach out to [email protected] so we can provide her retirement guarantee certificate and discuss the arrangements. We’ll also contact buyers directly whenever we can find their contact information. This guarantee extends to all three of the 18-year-old mares still in this sale. 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 📸 A heartfelt thank-you to Taylor Gross of TG EquiVisuals for taking and sharing this gorgeous portrait, and to Spooky Kitten’s owners for giving permission to feature her. We’re also grateful for Taylor’s pledge to support Mareworthy through her client work at this sale. She’s helping keep these mares visible while supporting the work that follows. These generous industry partnerships help us reach more people and help more horses. 🥰 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁. 👀 We’re following all the mares age 16 and older on our watchlist. So far, those who have gone through the ring have been 16. The first 17-year-old, Isla, Hip 1722, is expected in the ring today, and we’ll be watching her closely. The three 18-year-olds sell as follows: Starship Crystal on Sunday, Devilish Lady on Monday, and Spooky Kitten on Tuesday. We’ll bring you more photos and video from the barns as they arrive on the grounds, along with updates on the other mares we’re following. Let’s help their next connections find them, with retirement already part of the plan.
