Seriously, for f*ck's sake, you're free to enjoy whatever HC ships you want. But if you start shitting on other ships, don't act surprised when people give you the same energy back. I've literally never seen Settphel fans go after other ships unprovoked, when some idiot isn't already harassing them. And of course they don't. Settphel is such a huge ship that there's no need to.
And no, I'm not buying that “your fandom is huge, so just ignore whatever smaller ships say about you” bullshit. Why the f*ck should we have to sit there and take baseless insults from shippers whose ships barely have any canon interactions?
You're the ones giving us every opportunity to point out how flimsy your own arguments are and how full of contradictions they are.
Why do people who hate Sett and Aphelios as a ship make such a huge deal out of their own ships' tiny crumbs of canon interaction, acting like it's all officially backed, but the moment they're faced with the MOUNTAIN of official Settphel content, suddenly it's “they have no interactions” and “it's a forced ship”??? Are they blind, or do they just not have the brain cells to process what they're seeing? What a fascinating phenomenon.
Even in LoR, where people keep pointing to Samira and Sett's interactions, Sett's VA himself said he delivered Sett's lines to Aphelios with the idea that Sett was in love with him. And outside of LoR, Settphel gets so much more official content it's not even comparable.
Plus, Samira's the kind of woman who'd cheer on a guy who's got a crush on Sett anyway. I can totally see Samira and Sett as partners in crime or comrades-in-arms, but...
