Our resilience operation is active and working closely with partners. #StormÉowyn is causing transport and power disruption in many parts of Scotland. This afternoon, Ministers will convene a Scottish Government Resilience Room meeting with agencies to discuss the response.

Regional Flood alerts and local Flood Warnings remain in place throughout today and in to Saturday with coastal flooding impacts likely due to the very high winds and tidal surges. Persistent wave overtopping is likely across the western coastal areas with the greatest flooding impacts being seen on the Ayrshire coast today. Wave overtopping is causing debris and localised flooding of coastal paths, roads and causeways, disruption to travel and danger to life. Keep up to date with live flood warning information for your area at sepa.scot/flooding

#BeWinterWise – Please keep a safe distance from ANY open water. Winter waters are very dangerous & it can be tempting to play on the ice. It can crack unexpectedly & cold water can send your body into shock, in seconds. Admire from afar & #StaySafe. ❄️scottishwater.co.uk/watersaf…
