This is where I woke up this morning: St. Simons Island, GA
Rainy all day, we stayed on shore power and used our extra hour of Sunday playing video games.

Waiting out some weather in the marina, we got supplies for the repairs and a few other critical provisions with some help from our friends. Met a crew who had a rough arrival and talked over dinner at the on-site spot.

Motored down the ICW to get to a place we can get supplies for fixing the hole. We're actually back at the marina in St. Simons but our friends from Odyssey took us for barbecue and errands in Brunswick. Thanks, guys!
This is where I woke up this morning: [Down the ICW from] Crescent River, GA
We were headed for a marina, but charts said not enough depth and while other reports say it's fine, it wasn't worth the risk. Anchored in a tranquil spot with three other boats, made dinner, crashed.
This is where I woke up this morning: Coffee Bluff, GA
We won't be back to the Savannah city docks; a tug boat waked us hard enough to yank a cleat and its backing plate right through the side of the boat, leaving us with a massive repair to handle. Made progress down the ICW.
This is where I woke up this morning: Savannah, GA
Punching current down the ICW most of the day, a little more than usual thanks to the king tides. Tied up in Savannah at sunset, had a quick dinner and crashed. Just passing through this time.

What a great place to spend a big chunk of the summer. It almost feels like home. And leaving it carries that same mix of excitement and melancholy. But we chose to live by the seasons and as they move so must we. Onward!
Computer failures and not enough solar can slow us down, but not stop us! Here, at last, is part 2:

Approximately one year ago to the minute, we cast off the lines and pointed our bow toward adventure.
It's been slow lately, but another New Beginnings starts soon. Thanks for following along and for being patient.
We're working on a blog post about our first year at sea.

Busy weekend with lots of meetups that culminated in a night at the ballpark thanks to a friend. Drinks were shared, fun was had, but now it's back to the grind.
This is where I woke up this morning: Recovering from this
Quiet birthday at home with a gigantic cheese/charcuterie board for "dinner". Not pictured: The first course, Renee's homemade carrot cake. #Adulting

Started work early to get to the yacht club for race night. Davey graciously let us crew on Seneca. We chatted about adventures. (He rowed across the Atlantic!)
This is where I woke up this morning: The Land House
Quiet day. Did the day job, then made some "Carolina Gold" barbecue sauce correctly this time with access to a better-stocked galley. Combined with Sam's pulled pork: A++

Got a rental car, packed up the boat and cat, drove 12 hours. Recovered Saturday, met with friends Sunday, had a small BBQ for Labor Day.
This is where I woke up, er yesterday: Lady's Island, SC
Moved the boat to a marina, after fighting with the motor and getting it running just in the nick of time to make the bridge opening at high tide.

Another nice day with little going on. Harvested 4kwh of solar. Day job + dinner ashore.

After work, went to shore to meet new friends. Lovely chat with dinner and drinks. Put in 4.5kwh of solar, getting batteries back to a healthy charge.

Enough solar yesterday to work and heat leftovers but not much more. Quiet evening aboard.
