Authors, don't forget that rest and recuperation are also parts of the writing process. Obstacles such as plot holes, character deficiencies, or mistakes in voice or tone are all easier to solve if you're not exhausted. Find time and space to take care of yourselves.

it’s funny how sometimes you buy a book, then read it in two days, and sometimes you buy a book and it lives on your bookshelf for 15 years.

Does anyone remember when social media first came out, and it was just regular people posting pics or thoughts, no one trying to go viral, no influencers. Just vibes. What a time.

Opened Google Scholar today and I was instantly hit with “AI can now summarize academic articles.” Bro, it’s called an abstract and it already exists.

The Oxford comma is the only thing standing between us and sheer barbarism.
What's the word/grammar hill you are absolutely dying on?

It is permissible in English for a preposition to be what you end a sentence with. The idea that it should be avoided came from writers who were trying to align the language with Latin, but there is no reason to suggest ending a sentence with a preposition is wrong.

Jane Austen used 'however' at the beginning of a sentence, and so can you.

Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.? Because we gave them that L in 1776.

Many people still don’t realize that literacy isn’t just about being able to read. It’s about being able to comprehend, evaluate, and apply the information in front of you. The gap between the two is becoming increasingly alarming.

Respectfully, it's not huge news until the AP embraces the Oxford comma.
HUGE NEWS for editors: the AP has changed its style guide. It's now "healthcare" (not "health care") and "childcare" (not "child care") apstylebook.com/ap_stylebook…

No. If you are a grown adult, you should know what the word “complimentary” means. We shouldn’t have to dumb down our vocabularies to words of one syllable for the benefit of the illiterate. People get dumber when society stops expecting them to know things.
