WOMAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY SEPTA TROLLEY NEAR CLARK PARK IN WEST PHILADELPHIA
A woman was fatally struck by a SEPTA trolley Monday morning, November 2, 2026, near Clark Park in West Philadelphia.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m. at the intersection of 45th Street and Chester Avenue.
Investigators say the woman was running southbound along 45th Street when she was struck by an eastbound SEPTA Route 13 trolley traveling on Chester Avenue.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead at 9:28 a.m.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
SEPTA transportation officials responded to the scene as authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police have not announced any charges or released additional details about what led to the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones.
