Lastly, our offense. Our guys pounded out 30 hits in 27 innings, with 5 2B and 2 HR. They scored 21 runs. As mentioned earlier, they scored first in every game.

Heath Clevenger had thrown only 8.0 innings on the YEAR. The last time he had thrown more than 1.1 was when he went 3.0 innings on 3/14.

Entering the championship games, Jacob Newman had thrown 24.0 innings on the year. He had only gone more than 3.0 innings once this year, and that was over a month ago. He had a 1.90 WHIP.
