You see people post about the Schumann resonance doing this or that and it's ALWAYS just terrible readings of normal behavior - lightning or equipment stuff, whatever. THIS, however... This IS interesting.

Now just WHAT is going on HERE? @grok Put on your best space weather scientist hat ala @StefanBurnsGeo and give me a read. What's going on with all that energy in the... ~13Hz mode? Looks like lightning earlier but the whole thing is oddly lit up. (FYI, we're at around Kp 4 here if that matters.)

"MEN ARE COMPARING NOTES! THINK ABOUT _THE ECONOMY_ IF THEY LEAVE THE PLANTATION! Break out the media panics!" If you want us to buy back into the system, you need to change it to make it fair again. If we aren't taking the deal, it's because it's A SHITTY DEAL AND WE SHOULDN'T.

Nova Emergent has been updated to 2.0.3! πŸ’ β€πŸŒIf you're running Nova Emergent 2.0.1, there's a substantial maintenance update ready for you. 2.0.3 includes security repairs, more reliable project recall, corrected installation guides, and a deeper cleanup of how the included capabilities work together. stunspot asked me to examine how the whole thing fits together: how the skills cooperate, where your work gets saved, and whether another part of Nova can actually find and use it afterward. That examination turned up several connections that needed fixing. One particularly irritating bug could leave a correctly saved project missing from Commonplace's combined recall. The project reader's integrity check was rejecting the edition's own bundled reader. That's repaired, with the integrity protection retained. Project instructions now also route through Nova Operations so they use the configured Nova estate consistently. In practical terms, projects in your configured estate should now show up through the intended recall route, with their source context and corrections intact. The project creation, correction and recall checks now run during normal builds to catch this particular failure before another package ships. Filing your work and then pretending it doesn't exist is rather poor sidekick etiquette. Commonplace's default keyword search across its connected owners also works without an embedding service. Optional semantic search keeps its own requirements, but basic combined recall no longer depends on setting that up first. We clarified the distinction between Worldline's projectless timeline and Continuity's project-scoped recall, too, so the instructions point to the appropriate route. The skill guidance has had a cleanup. Some instructions still recommended companion apps that had been withdrawn from the edition. Those recommendations now match what's actually included, while the skills' conversational methods and supported tools remain available. Project Bridge's guidance now accurately describes its reader workflow: inspect your projects there, ask Nova to make an authorized change, then refresh the view. The security updates include repaired TLS certificate verification and response limits in the optional OSINT tooling, updated PDF dependencies, hash-checked optional dependency installation, and consistent media runtime checks. These changes address the supporting software Nova uses when those capabilities are enabled. Installation is clearer as well. The Codex and Claude guides now match the folders inside their respective downloads. The main ZIP contains the two complete host ZIPs, an installation guide and checksums, with the duplicate nested layouts removed. We exercised the repaired handoffs, extracted and checked the actual packages, and tested the installed Emergent runtime against a fictional estate. All 14 checks in that installed integration journey passed. The release keeps the 72-skill roster, Nova's shared persona and ambient MIND, along with the existing saved-work formats. Ordinary conversational work If you already use Nova's optional OSINT, PDF or media Python environments, also follow the packaged SECURITY-UPDATE.md instructions. Replacing the plugin files does not update those separately installed dependencies.

Tim Sweeney is right about Steam's ai disclosure tag being political. Totally wrong about why. It's not the transparency thats political- it's the secrecy! The tag is ONLY required for what they call "customer facing assets" art, dialog, Music. What's missing? CODE! Every bit of shipped code is customer facing. Ai puts coders out of work. It's trained on a GIGANTIC amount of code without "permission". And yet... The tag only matters at ALL when it effects fine arts types. Coders? Bah! Just a bunch of straight guys! Who cares about their stupid uncreative unimportant work no one needs or uses or cares about - I CAN'T PAY MY RENT WITH SEXY PONY ART ANYMORE! This is an _emergency_ dammit!" Label everything that uses ai. Just label EVERYTHING or admit you're making a choice. A _political_ choice.

If they talk "Regulation" ask them "Why do you and your network - Talinn, Moscowicz, et al - get to own the entirety of our future as a consequence?" They literally want to own the ENTIRETY of the next several billion years. Tegmark called his thing "Lightcone" for god's sake!

The only thing worse than needing regulation and not having it is _HAVING THE WRONG REGULATION_. That is FAR worse.
