My work laptop turned itself off during a meeting with @NineteenNinjas this morning. The Windows error log?

So this week I had some time to tinker around in C++. This weekend I'm writing a Discord bot in python. My syntax is all over the place.
I am so excited to be able to bring this to our customers.
Our most-requested feature is almost here.

Picard management tip: "That's the way it's always been" is never an adequate reason to continue doing something.
Regardless of the industry, if the attitude to a complaint about someone's behaviour is "that's just x, they're like that", kick up a stink or leave. This is how culture turns toxic & allows awful people to linger in spaces. It's a weather vane.

This Thursday at 7pm I'm on @dnistream talking about Team Culture. I'm sure many of us have worked in teams with bad culture, but what is it and how do you improve or change it? I'll be sharing my thoughts

We're celebrating #InternationalCatDay with the Cats of RealVNC!
We won't ask you to choose your favorite, because they're all equally adorable 🐱🐈

Today we are celebrating #PrideMonth with a themed cake day. We hope you’ve saved the date for #CambridgePride, the very first #Pride festival in Cambridge – we'll see you there tomorrow! 🌈
So pleased that @RealVNC are supporting LGBT+ people inside the business & the local community with @CambridgePride. The kitchen is decorated in flags, there are small ones for putting on peoples desks (& there's a lot of them about!)
A colleague recommended reading "The Manager's Path" by Camille Fournier, which is a book for those being managed and managing in tech. It is a very good read with fantastic tips from intern to CTO/CEO
