●आपके प्रश्न का उत्तर तत्त्वार्थसूत्र के अध्याय 7, सूत्र 13 में मिलता है:
“प्रमत्तयोगात्प्राणव्यपरोपणं हिंसा।”
अर्थात् प्रमाद, कषाय और असावधानी से जीव के प्राणों का घात करना हिंसा है।
●अगर किसी मार्ग पर चलते हुए दुर्घटना की संभावना हो, तो क्या हम यह कहकर सावधानी छोड़ देंगे कि दुर्घटना तो हो ही सकती है?
नहीं। उसी प्रकार सूक्ष्म जीवों की संभावित हिंसा का तर्क देकर अहिंसा के प्रयास को निरर्थक बताना भी तर्कसंगत नहीं है।
●एक बात समझिए: जहाँ हिंसा की संभावना का ज्ञान है, वहाँ हिंसा को कम करने का प्रयास करना ही अहिंसा की साधना है।

I saw a seller's video showing hundreds of used outfits being returned. Imagine being a small business owner who spends months investing money, time, and effort into preparing for the festive season, only to have customers use the products for their celebrations and return them back to sellers
Behind every returned outfit is a seller who has to deal with used merchandise, damaged packaging, lost resale value, and financial losses.
If you cannot afford to buy an outfit, do not pretend to purchase it just to borrow it for free. And if you can afford it but deliberately exploit return policies, the problem is not your budget. It is your character.

A retired employee of KEM hospital, Mumbai, passed away in January.
The family, from a marginalised background, completed all formalities, informed the BMC, returned the excess pension credited to his account and requested that family pension be sanctioned to his wife as per the applicable rules.
It has been 9 Months now and they are still running between KEM hospital and @mybmc Headquarters because staff at KEM has 'no time' to process the file.
The man, and even his mother, dedicated their entire life in service at KEM hospital. India's top Orthos from KEM, knew this man well for his honesty and hard work.
But the current officials at KEM have just been holding on to the file.

Yesterday, I went out for dinner with some of my batchmates. They were all non-vegetarians, so they ordered non vegetarian food, while I ordered vegetarian food because I'm a vegetarian.
But as soon as we started eating, they kept trying to persuade me to try non-vegetarian food from time to time. Even though they knew I was a vegetarian, they started talking about the benefits of eating meat, its protein content, and asking me why I don't eat non-vegetarian food.
Although it was just a joke among us, whenever I sit down to eat with non-vegetarians, they often end up talking to me about eating meat. And this is something that almost every vegetarian in India experiences, even though what to eat and what not to eat is a matter of personal choice.
We have become so conditioned to believe that eating an animal's flesh is something to enjoy, while vegetarian food is nothing but grass and weeds.

In Jainism nobody is up there running things. The liberated ones, Mahavira and the rest, sit in Siddha Loka at the top of the universe. Omniscient. Not omnipotent. Beyond time. They see everything. They touch nothing. They do not meddle in the affairs of mortals.
The word Tirthankara means ford-maker. He shows you where the river can be crossed. He does not carry you across. He is there to prove it can be done. You don't ask him for things. You copy him. The way a 10-year-old gets a Messi haircut.

A boy said he went to Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra to drop his family off for their train. The train was originally scheduled to leave at 12 noon, but later they were told it would arrive at 2 PM.
He had bought a platform ticket and waited with his family. However, the train kept getting delayed. Around 5 PM, when he was helping his family board the train and was about to leave, a TTE stopped him and asked for his platform ticket.
He showed the ticket, but the TTE told him that a platform ticket is valid only for 2 hours. Since more than 2 hours had passed, he was fined ₹500.
The boy then raised a simple question: if the train was delayed for several hours because of the railway, why should the passenger be held responsible for staying at the station?
He had purchased a valid platform ticket and was only there to drop his family.
If the delay was caused by the railway, shouldn’t there be some consideration for passengers and their families who are forced to wait longer?
It raises a genuine question about whether passengers should be fined when they remain at the station because of a railway delay.

I really hesitated to write this, but if I don’t speak up today, I will be facing a severe financial crisis within a week or two.

I have been completely without work for the last three months. My last project ended on June 30th, and since then I have knocked on every door I know—calling, texting, meeting contacts, and following up.
People say they will try, but after that first talk, the silence takes over. Calls go unanswered or get cut after a couple of rings. I honestly don't know whether the industry is shifting because of AI or if my age (52) is working against me, but despite over 13 years of solid experience in the field, nothing has materialized.
Now, my savings are down to the very end. I can barely hold out for another week or two.
I am a professional content writer, translator, and speaker who is comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. I write and translate fluently across Gujarati, Hindi, and English, with Gujarati being my strongest suit.
Many of you already know my grasp of politics and my political writing, but I am equally adept at covering Bollywood and cricket. My priority is media houses, digital platforms, or publications, but I am open to any genuine writing or translation opportunity.
