As a lady from Northern Nigeria, this is the fear we carry every day. We go to the farm, to the market, to school, & we don’t know if we will return home safe. Insecurity has made our land dangerous, and women & girls are paying the highest price.
What does the future hold for us?
Will our girls be able to walk freely?
Will our voices be heard, or will fear silence us forever?
I’m scared, but I refuse 2b silent. Women in Arewa deserve to live without fear. We deserve safety and a future where we can dream beyond survival.
